Fat logic: "you can't assume my entire diet based on one meal I took a picture of/one meal we ate together!!!"
also fat logic: "I saw a thin person eat a lot one single time, which proves that thin people are always going to be thin and fat people will always be fat and that's just the laws of nature."

Listen, I’m a leftist, and I don’t want to come across as one of those “ if you’re not formally educated you can’t be part of the movement” folks BUT it is important to EDUCATE YOURSELF on leftist thinking. Not from tik tok… READ. Supporting American greed, capitalism and individualism is not leftist. it’s NOT. Eating enough for a family of 10 is NOT leftism!!

These people see a skinny girl eat a lot one day and assume she eats the same amount every single day ... like dude we're out. OF course im going to have a beer and a nice meal

I’ve lost about 100lbs at 19, and I can’t believe there are people out there who believe being fat is genuinely healthy……

8:54 It’s interesting that they’re always saying “you can’t assume my entire diet off of one meal or snack” yet they do exactly that with their thin friends.

If you saw me out at a restaurant you might see me eat something calorie laden and make assumptions, but the reality is that I weighed and logged everything else I ate that day and made room for that treat. Nobody defies the laws of thermodynamics, period! When will they get it 🙄

Fat acceptance people always jump fo conclusions. Maybe that burrito was all the thin friend ate all day

i like the "if being in a healthy bmi range makes you healthier then why do those people still get diseases????" like.... because they're people, my guy

22:00 I have no way of proving this, but I've always thought that "Healthy at Every Size" was originally based on the idea that a person can make healthy decisions/do things that are healthy for them at any size (such as eating a whole food diet, getting safe exercise for your size, etc) and it was then misinterpreted by FA as "oh, we can be healthy at any size," and the marker of health was simply declaring that you were.

They are obsesssssssed with what thin people eat, it’s so weird to sit there analysing your friends like that. They’ll also never understand energy balance, that the thin friend might eat like that once a month, might be super active, probably didn’t eat that much the rest of the day and perhaps the day after. It’s much easier to believe life is so unfair and you’re just cursed with a bad metabolism 🙄

Thin person with sleep apnea here, but it's from breaking my nose and deviating my septum... nothing to do with my weight 🤣🤣 kinda null that person's point

That burrito story was so ridiculous. What did the woman eat before then? Maybe she skipped lunch? Maybe she ate light all day. Its not hard to easily fit in an 800 calorie meals if the rest of the meals were half that.

I'm happy to say that I'm 25lbs down and 19lbs away to onederland! Currently, I'm between a small fat and "not fat" (too small for the fatness spectrum).

I'm traveling this summer. I will fit in those airline seats. I will get into class 1 obese. I can't wait until I'm healthier.

24:20 GORL, it’s sad to hear you say you don’t think you’ll ever be a healthy size. Look at how far you’ve come! How much progress you’ve made! You’ve already done much hard work and you have the ability to continue that hard work. Life is full of ups and downs, and there is no finish line to health and wellness. I have every faith in you that you will get to a lower weight if you want. I’m blown away when you show your old fat acceptance, videos, you have done so much hard work already.

As a fellow short girl at 4'10. I wonder if this person was really interpreting her friends weight correctly. Like unless you do have that double chin, most people swear short women are under 100lbs.

Not saying her friend wasn't thin. But I'm suspicious of that number

‘if being thin prevents joint pain why do people have join pain’ may introduce you to genetic conditions 😁😁

800 cal isn’t even crazy for dinner lol. Wild

You don't need to lose 50 lbs. You need to lose one pound, and then do it again, and again.
A big number can be overwhelming and disheartening, and i think it's why a lot of people give up. But if you set smaller goals and constantly hit them, you can keep getting the little achievement seratonin boosts. You can feel that you are progressing and it makes it much easier to stick with the plan and not get discouraged.

21:21 this is actually so annoying as someone who has type one diabetes. because obesity and therefore type two diabetes are on the rise due to people’s inability to eat and exercise in a healthy manner i keep getting questions like “oh you have diabetes? but you’re skinny?” or people keep telling me i can reverse my diabetes if i eat healthy LIKE MF NO MY PANCREAS DOES NOT WORK MY IMMUNE SYSTEM NUKED IT FOR NO REASON LEAVE ME ALONE or i always get people trying to minimize it because “it’s just diabetes, it’s not like cancer or anything” and they don’t even know the difference between the types while making all these comments so they have no clue how hard it is to deal with type one, because we get no coverage on the media and whenever diabetes is mentioned anywhere it’s type two. if type one diabetes had a different name than “diabetes” it would’ve been taken so much more seriously but no all everyone thinks about when they hear “diabetes” is just fat people because type ones who didn’t even do anything to get this disability only make up around 5% of all diabetics and then they dare to use us for their talking points of “oh but yk there are skinny diabetics” actually pisses me off so bad and don’t even get me started on how fat activists love to use disabled people to legitimize their movement…

The topic of minority community is interesting here I think. I’m a black woman, and one of the reasons I gravitate towards where black people are and yearn for community with black people is because in those spaces, I often feel like I’m much more able to be seen for who I am and have my individuality shine through because I don’t get reduced to someone’s idea of a black person and what my proximity to them can do nearly as much. I feel like black people project onto me less and tend to be more genuinely interested in the things I do that are not just “being black” because they are also black and know that there’s more to them as well. Other black people also don’t give off the “threat” response that a lot of non black people might have when you’re just kind of doing something and are black. And there’s a sense of “I’m black and I’m always going to be black and I don’t have to try to be”

But in the case of being in fat acceptance, I feel like their idea of community kind of forces being fat to usurp every other part of who they  are in insidious ways. I just don’t really think that much about what other people might be eating. I fill my time with other things. They do a lot of trying to keep each other the same, and keep each other stagnant. It’s sort of like this fat community has everyone only looking at each other as “fat person” rather than who they are which feels contrary to the point of minority communities. Like yes, I am black and it’s a big part of who. I am, but I don’t have to work to be black, I just am. Why would I want my entire personality to be based off of something that I don’t even put any effort into and can’t really evolve in? Why would I want more of my community to affirm the things I actually spend my time doing?
