Mando calls into After Dark claiming he wants to discuss atheist morality, asking how atheists can have morality without God. Host Forest immediately explains he gets his morality from the same place theists do: rational thought, culture, and social experiences. But instead of explaining his own position, Mando spends the entire call demanding the hosts establish "the starting point" and define their understanding of consciousness, evolution, and the origin of life first. When they do, he claims they're using terms wrong, then reveals his own confused understanding by mixing up Australopithecus with LUCA, a single-celled organism from billions of years ago. Austin eventually calls him out directly: everyone knows Mando's answer is "Magic Guy did it" but he won't say it because he knows it sounds stupid. When finally pressed on whether his morality comes from God, Mando deflects with vague statements about consciousness. The hosts conclude he's either a troll or a smugly self-satisfied libertarian-type who refuses to engage honestly.
