I remember when I was a kid. V became an enormous success. It was a head of it's time. No CGI yet and modern effects but it looked amazing and realistic. It made our 80's life entertaining and fantastic

When I grew up, it was an annual event to rewatch V as a local channel would do a weeklong event from 8pm to 10pm each weeknight.

Johnson wrote a novel in 2008 (V: The Second Generation) which picks up twenty years after the original miniseries and completely ignores the events of “The Final Battle” and the TV series. It hews a lot more closely to the “It Can’t Happen Here” vibes of the first mini. The only frustrating part is that, just like the TV series and the reboot, it ends on a cliffhanger.
