🎉 Now streaming directly on our channel, dive into the brilliantly dark 1960s television mystery with the hit series Thriller (Season 1, Episode 31) - A Good Imagination. If you love classic horror shows, twisted black comedy, and the legendary Boris Karloff anthology series, this pristine HD remaster of one of the show's highest-rated episodes is an absolute must-watch.
📚 Frank Logan is a mild-mannered, well-read bookseller with an unfaithful wife and a truly wonderful imagination. As her lovers come and go, Frank finds morbid inspiration for getting rid of each one simply by browsing his own shelves! Drawing deadly methods from literary classics like Crime and Punishment, An American Tragedy, and Edgar Allan Poe's The Cask of Amontillado, Frank seems to be enjoying himself immensely in this clever vintage crime story.
🎥 This fantastic classic TV episode is a masterclass in suspense. It boasts a brilliant script by Robert Bloch (the legendary author behind Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho), who adapted his own short story into a delicious black comedy. Director John Brahm - who also helmed the 1944 film version of The Lodger (the Jack the Ripper story behind Man in the Attic, which you can also find on our channel!) - brings a sly, literary wit to every murder. Plus, fans of Golden Age television will spot familiar faces in the supporting cast: Mary Grace Canfield (who later played Ralph Monroe on the hit comedy Green Acres) and Britt Lomond (famous as the villainous Captain Monastario on Disney's iconic Zorro series).
