I for one think it was an absolutely beautiful and heartbreakingly gorgeous fairytale. Yes, a fairytale, for adults. No sex, no cussing or swearing, just a beautifully well-made love story with a happy ending. That thrilled every little princess and prince in us.

Ladyhawke is one of my all time favorite movies including the score, and yes, in  part BECAUSE it IS and 80's fairy tale love story.

As much as I love Kurt Russell, thank everything that he pulled out.

Our family loves Ladyhawke! We all gather together every two years and watch it after Sunday dinner. All the grandchildren are into it now. It's a tradition we plan on keeping forever!

We never did get to see the advertised cut scene nor hear the promised explanation...

The soundtrack and Mouse's anachronistic way of talking makes that movie perfect!

The thing that makes this movie a moving romantic tragedy is the snow pit with the coming dawn and the reactions as they see each other for just a moment then CHANGE. She flys off and he cry’s out in agony, his pain is so clear you feel it yourself. “ alway together, but forever apart”. 😭

This 1980s film is responsible for the almost ubiquitous use of Friesian horses as midlevel war horses in film work. They took a breed of horse that was speedily heading for extinction, and turned it into a must have for re-enactments and romantics. Sadly this was almost too late and all these beautiful horses are dangerously interbred, with a high foal morbidity.  
There wasn’t a little girl in the 90s that wanted to be rescued by a prince on a white horse,; they all wanted to be rescued by Rutger  Hauer on his Baroque Friesian stallion!

I owned the VHS, dvd, and digital versions of this movie.  I wore out the VHS tape.  It is one of my all time favorite movies.  Still watch it at least once a year.

Cut scene? What cut scene - as usual, a dry hustle of a video. And really, “ladyhawkee”?

Ladyhawk and Excalibur are my two favourite 80's films, i still love to re-watch them. Top tier acting, music is phenomenal, it still makes me cry all these decades later 👏 👌 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This is another perfect, accidental, iconic movie.  The score, played by the Alan Parsons project added to the fairy tale atmosphere of the film.  An authentically medieval score would have taken away, not added to the mystical aura of the story.  Like other films that were "accidental" icons, this one has proven timeless.  It is a film that can be watched over and over and still deliver its heart wrenching, happy ending emotion.  I LOVE this film!

One of my wife and my favorite movies. We were fans of both Rutger Hauer and Michelle Pfeiffer and loved seeing them work together, yet apart until the end scene. The moment at dawn after Mouse saves Navarre (in wolf form) where the lovers come so close to touching is heart rending. The howl of anguish, frustration, and loss that Hauer lets out makes it even moreso. When my wife passed 3 yrs ago, my heart made that sound. I shared the movie with our kids a few years before and they understood why we loved it so.

Ladyhawke is my most beloved movie of all times! ❤

This is one of my all time favorite movies. The score should have been written by a John Williams or Hans Zimmer, but I don’t mind. Alan  Parson’s Project was a favorite back then and when I hear the music now my mind goes straight to the movie. Its Unique.

One of the best films ever made Ladyhawk. The score by Andrew Powell is killer. Awesome… I have always loved it since the moment I first heard it in the theater.
