Today we’re in Dallas, Texas, visiting content creator and Couv Collections founder Claire Smith in the charming cottage she shares with her growing family.

When her husband was called up to play for the Texas Rangers in 2022, life quickly became a whirlwind of baseball season and constant travel. After years of apartment living and dreaming about the right neighborhood, they found this storybook cottage—a place that finally felt like home.

Inside, Claire’s signature style shines: soft southern tradition, chinoiserie wallpaper, heirloom antiques, and layers of blue and pink. Inspired in part by the romance of the Ritz Paris, the home is filled with meaningful pieces collected slowly over time—from her childhood dining table to wedding china that reminds her of coffee dates with her grandmother.

Beautiful home! I love how meaningful everything is, tying to memories and creating new ones. I totally get the idea of waiting to place art and decor on the walls till you find exactly what you're looking for. We have been in our new home for 2 years and most of our walls are still bare because I don't want to rush to buy things that I'm not fully connected to, we have had so many questions from guests about why the walls are bare, but it doesn't bother me, I can relate to the sentiment that "good things come to those who wait" :) Loved this, I couldn't help smiling through the whole episode!

Nice and fresh home for a young couple, and the owner has this really great energy about her. It needs layering, but that will come with time.

Love love the furniture but girl you need some art, mirrors, plates on the walls. It wouldn’t take a lot! Colors and paper is so pretty. But there is not anything to look at

Wedgewood China in the strawberry pattern was my wedding china as well. I lost most of it in a tornado in Texas. Wonderful to see it again.

She did a lovely job. It needs artwork, a few more pillows and decorative items. A bit too sparse.

A beautifully soft landing place for this busy family!

The Wedgwood lamps are pretty. I had my wedding cake make to look like Wedgwood. It was beautiful.

Her passion for design really shines through more than most designers I have seen. She should think about going into interior design as a career- she would be so great.
