I like that you emphasize not needing to buy anything to start cash stuffing. I started with a small accordion style file folder that i already had, used stickynotes to create tabs on the top of the sections for catagorys, and a notebook. I did that for 3 months before buying my first basic cash binder and envelopes from amazon and used that for another year before haveing the funds to go on etsy and get cute budgeting tools. 😊

LOVE!!! Right now im using saving challenges to help build up my sons adult binder, he’s also special needs and he’s 16 atm and I don’t want him to worry like I did when I moved out.

He isn’t moving out but I want him to be prepared while disability kicks in when he does turn 18.

This has nothing to do with the binders but I love that you cover your kid’s face. I’m too used to getting upset about people showing their kids on social so I love that you keep private with that

Also I like to change my plan up a little quarterly to keep myself motivated so I feel you! Whether it’s budget adjustments or switching up my savings challenges, it keeps me focused too because my rule is I have to stick with my plan for the quarter and I can switch if I want to when it’s over. I had to because I get so much random inspiration I’d be swapping constantly but making that rule for myself keeps me from going overboard especially being very low budget. I’m slowly making my binders prettier as I go whenever I get spare cash to buy a little at a time, but I also started with white envelopes before I even knew cash envelope systems were a thing. I just would do it myself with my debts to make sure I didn’t accidentally spend my minimums each month haha

Dave Ramsey all day everyday!!! LOVE that man! 😂

Thank you for sharing the sinking funds goal sheet! I have a Google sheet with a tab for those, but I haven't utilized it. This really helped show how to better plan goals.

Cute setup! Getting back into sinking funds this really helped me figure out what I want to prioritize for myself.

Our friends use Christian healthcare ministries. He broke his arm and needed surgery, and his wife said the payment was so easy with them. It worked out well!
