For five years, every time I start the bike to ride, I just hit the drive gear button twice and go straight to Sport II. I hate it lugging the motor in regular drive.

Customer: Hey, Honda, let us adjust the windscreen on the go?
Honda: No, you have to do a full stop to do that.
Customer: Ok I'll just use to cruise control then.
Honda: *visibly shocked.
You've been making motorcycles for almost 100 years, Honda.

I'm on my second Africa Twin Dct. I just usually just run in manual. Fully in control of the up and down shifts. Even in manual, the bike will automatically down shift to 1st when coming to a stop.

The best thing I added on my Africa Twin other than Outback Motortek Bars, is the LSK Offroad Dongle. If you hold the Star/favorites button for a second it turns off all abs/traction control. Hold it for another second and everything is back on. You don’t have to stop, you don’t have to go through any menu… full kill in 1-2 seconds while going.

I rode Blood Mtn and John Crow Rd just yesterday on my '25 std AT on my way back home! I started the day with breakfast Two's in Suches, then Aska Wilderness, Cooper's Creek, Mulky Gap, and on to 129. Beautiful day to be on two wheels!

Planning to buy a ATAS DCT within 2y because THIS is the perfect bike for touring and off roading

You cannot only deactivate the traction control. You can also deactivate the wheelie control the same way. You have to do this if you tackle a steep hill offroad. Otherwise the power cut will stop you in the middle of the hill. The AT can do it all if you know the bike.

When you cancel cruise this way, you get a bunch of instant engine braking. I prefer to add enough throttle to match the cruise speed. Then hit the up-shift paddle to cancel the cruise. This smoothly cancels the cruise and I can roll out of the throttle without the forward lunge. Works especially good when riding 2 up.

6:20 the tip 4, you can use the setting menus if you go as slow as 6km/h (don’t know on miles what’s the number.)

Love your Honesty. I'm a huge Honda guy.I am considering a 26 Transalp. I love the Aferican twin.
But it's a little more money than I want to spend.
The only thing I wish the transalp had was tubeless tires and cruise control. But I don't think you can go wrong with either bike. They are both pretty much Bulletproof.I had a KLR for 20 years.sold it last spring. your thoughts on the Transalp? 2026
Love your channel !!

I have a tip for you too. Your phone holder on your handlebars; I have one too. After half a year of riding with my smartphone on it, the camera stabilizer broke. Now I can't focus anymore when I want to take a photo. The camera only works when I zoom in.

Cruise control has a resume speed. press up to resume the set speed, bike accelerates to previous set speed. Touching either brake also cancels, its in the handbook. As always, RTFM 😂😂

Great video, the trick for turning the traction control on and off during the ride is available on all models or from a certain year model?
