Arsenal U18s came from behind to beat Birmingham City 3-2 and begin their U18 Premier League Cup campaign with a win. Noah Hoarau put the visitors ahead after seven minutes with a curling strike from outside the box. Arsenal were level soon after when Jaden Maghoma sent his penalty past Max Pearce following a foul by Isifu Drammeh. Abraham Owusu-Gyasi then headed in Charlie Purdy’s corner just after the half-hour mark to complete the turnaround. Josh Sesay almost made it three before the break but his effort struck the crossbar.

Maghoma scored a second penalty after the restart when Owusu-Gyasi won the foul. Jack Talbot made two good saves to deny Oli Widecki-Estima and Lorenzo Greer and keep the lead intact. Substitute Theodore Mason pulled one back late on with a close range finish from Cormac Harris’ cross and gave Birmingham a brief scare. Arsenal held on for the win which stretched their run to four victories in all competitions.
