GG Bandit! You did really well in the end fight. This game is a ton of fun and your confusion at how the ending plays out is totally justified. There’s a lot of discussion about the remake series and debate as to whether it’s actually a remake or a sequel. I have my own thoughts, but I’ve spent a lot of time in the FF world (VII especially), and so I’ll save it for you to experience and decide on your own one day.

I’m very excited for you to meet the rest of the cast and see what the next chapter has in store.

About the connections between X and VII, it is purely a thread bare connection. Think of it like BotW and TotK connecting to other Zelda games.

Rebirth is a HUGE game so be ready for many streams of getting lost in side quests. I would recommend doing the DLC at some point before you reach Chapter 4 of Rebirth. But anyway you split it, you’re gonna have a good time! Can’t wait to see more! Have fun!
