Update on Endgame content: Ok so here is the compromise Blizzard have made - they use animation decimation when there are hundreds of enemies on screen. Not for the player but varying degrees on enemy animations. It keeps performance feeling ok for you as a player and then scales back as the screen clears. For most fights you won’t notice this but you will when it gets HECTIC!

Update on WIFI: So as mentioned in the video WiFi is required to play - I’ve been testing exactly HOW much you need it and firstly you need it. When you go to airplane mode after 30 seconds you’ll be kicked off. Secondly, you need it consistent - this is the bit that really got me. In the world you see other players. Fine. The thing is the game tracks your movement within the world using that WiFi - like an mmo so if you’re on the train or using public WiFi like I was yesterday. It needs more than the speed can give and your character will rubber band because the server can’t get all the moving part info across. Thankfully, with even slightly ok WiFi it’s fine, like tethering to my phone worked when out and about but a congested or shared network is a nightmare for Diablo 4.

Diablo 4 is finally out on Switch 2, here we go! Mark

my desktop ssd failed last night, so i picked up the switch 2 today - saw diablo 4 in the shop and bought it instantly, since i adored diablo 3 on the switch. i was super happy to find the cross platform saving, giving me access to the cosmetics ive bought on my pc copy of diablo 4. the game runs impressively well - ive been playing in performance mostly and am completely satisfied with the performance. also picked up elden ring, but havent even launched it once yet since ive been so caught up in diablo 4

Like others said, I want to see an end game whirlwind Barb demolishing a screen full of enemies with the damage points all going on at the same time and see what the frame rate is.
