No matter how well you play or how clever your tactics are, the game somehow hands your opponent enough goals to keep the match tight and sweaty. You might be play like the Mona Lisa, yet the goalkeeper saves shots effortlessly but opponent can get a free bounce back and you have to sweat again.

I have never lose my control before while playing the game until this year but now i find myself hitting the table and shouting "what the hell".. Its really getting annoyed.

Last year I didn’t play much, but I play most years

My favourite FIFA memory was FIFA 11. I had a full Brasilver team with Marlos, Jobson, Manoel and Ilsinho. They were so much fun to play with. In-form cards were genuinely rare back then; now there are multicoloured cards everywhere.

Every year I try to relive that feeling, but I just come up against the same teams over and over, and they completely overpower me. I like Evos because they let me improve silver and lesser-known players, but apart from tonight, they’ve been pretty useless this year.

There’s no originality anymore, and the fidget-spinning meta is painful. You’re right, the game is stressful and genuinely tires me out. It feels like EA became completely focused on making money, which is such a shame.

I realised this last year, I remember playing 1 particular game on Div 6 Rivals and I was absolutely exhausted

I genuinely had to take paracetamol and wanted to take a cold bath

I can play 6+ hrs of an RPG no problem but one 15min game of online EA FC floors me 😂😂😂

Dude I found your channel a few days ago and I've found what you had to say quite interesting, I've just finished this video (I was listening whilst playing squad battles ironically) and I want to address a few things.

On the earlier part where you talk about the stress of the game modes, I totally agree, I miss playing FIFA 13 and just getting the 15k in div 1 and not having to worry about all the other stuff and being able to use silvers and non rares. I dislike how stressful everything is now and the gameplay comes into it. It's to the point where I can't play back to back years of fifa nowadays, last year I just stuck to cod, I didn't buy FIFA 19 after the horrible beta and stopped playing 21 after a few weeks.

On your point about the gameplay, I do somewhat agree, I do wish they would buff the other mechanics to make things more viable but I'm not against them nerfing the current meta, I think what you mention about the s tier mechanics is part of what makes the gameplay horrifically stressful, I'm an above average fifa player but nowhere near your level,  I'm in div 4 atm but I always reach elite div but I'm a bad elite div player if that makes sense, I usually get 10/11 wins in champs, occasionally 12 but very rarely and I hate how end to end the game has become, you mention how the games would end 1-0 if everything was nerfed and my God do I yearn for the days of FIFA 20 where I could actually get clean sheets consistently in champs and finish in elite 3. This game is too mentally draining now man, back in fifa 17 when champs started I could play 10-15 games in a row, now I can barely play 2 or 3 without putting the controller down, it's all too much.

What I loved about FIFA 13 is that you could build such OP silver teams that could crush any team. Nowadays you always see the same player cause it’s meta and you kinda have to use them.

I’m 52 years young, and been playing FIFA since the 1990s.  I remember playing clubs, before ultimate team even existed.  The franchise has gone down the pay to win, un-tradable Route, doing everything to drive players to buying store packs.  As a casual player, working full time, it is so difficult to keep up with the power curve, doing a no money spent team.  I don’t have the time to trade for hours on the market.  Secondly, a point that you have already highlighted, is the ratty, meta way that people play this game.  4213, counter with through balls is so boring game after game.  FC 27 already feels stale to me

The irony is peopple don't realise the less you play, the better they make your rewards, the more you play, the worse your rewards.

I often have two accounts during a year as I will get bored of one and not want to lose all my coins trying new players, so I start a second account (many people do this).

I'll not play on one account for 2-3 weeks and as soon as you come back you'll be rewarded.

The trap is believing you have to keep up with some imaginary curve - because you don't.

At the end of every game cycle I realise, none of it mattered, the journey has no end, don't try to get somewhere, just play when you want and in whatever way you want. You don't lose

FC 27 Has a Problem with Stress if you play ultimate team I could never agree more, but if you stress while playing carrer or kick-off with your friends , then there's sth wrong with u

I'm lucky that I've never had the FOMO mindset. Even back in school when all my school friends were into Pokemon cards, or Panini stickers, I never had the urge to collect those cards, as I was never interested. Likewise with FC, I only play Rivals and Squad Battles, and stop when I've completed the objectives that I'm interested in. I haven't played Champs for the past two years, as I don't want to put the time into it. Also, I want to play other games - I'm currently going through the Mass Effect, which is much more enjoyable than the annoyance and inconvenience of Champs.

Even SBCs, I think the only player SBC I've completed so far in FC27 is the MLS Argentinian player. Even if there are SBC players that I'm interested in, like MOTM Oliseh, I'm not going to stress to spend the time and coins/gems needed to complete him. If I happen to be able to complete the SBC, then great, but no problem if I can't.

Tío, sabes que hice el año pasado, puse todo mi equipo intransferible y medias normales que me gustaban, se acabó un poco de la presión de "tengo buen equipo no tengo excusa" y eso haré de nuevo porque me veo en la misma situación, parece que no puedo mejorar aún intentándolo, tengo que estar concentrado el 100% del tiempo defendiendo cambinado con el joystick cuando quiero atacar ya no tengo idea y simplemente me ciego y no sé cómo sacar el balón, no sabes que hacer, cambias alineación, pones más profundidad, los roles..es un estrés constante. A veces he llegado a jugar tranquilo y ganar pero muy rara vez te enfrentas a un rival que solo corre y te lo tomas chill (division 4)

very much relate to that train of thoughts. i havent finished the video yet, so maybe you talk about this later - thats kinda the reason people rat in eF or in fifa instead of having fun during actual gameplay. those games consume a lot of time if you dont wanna miss out on the rewards, and some people just dont know how to enjoy the experience, they might not be good enough or just want the reward without the hassle, so the dopamine only hits as another card hits the collection etc. so they are fine with using the most braindead strats in either game just to make the process of getting needed wins quicker and more straightforward. idk

Think the gameplay is dull but the community (at least half if not the silent majority) have learnt to adapt somewhat and suffer through it.

I see people on Reddit almost defend EA by implying the gameplay style being one-dimensional is the fault of the user disliking it, rather than the developer being at fault.

Furthermore, if we’re reached a point where 9/10 goals are timing a through pass and the community still plays we are cooked

overwhelming is the word to use for fut now. miss a week and it seems like everyone you face against is miles ahead of you already. they want your life to be centred around their games now. something i will never buy into.

Thats by design imo. To increase player retention ( most likely they do daily metrics)

Thats why i think they wont do the constant guaranteed rewards. EA prefers rng rewards which i am over completely ( they are present in the random bounties shit that doesn't work properly, at least last yr)

and my attacking-ai just turns to anti-attacking-ai
just because i never spend a single dollar on such
theatre of nightmares ! ty !

The game is soulless now - doesn’t even resemble football anymore.
