FULL BLOWN Backyard Resort (Koi Window!)

Greg Wittstock, The Pond Guy

This might be the most CURB APPEAL water feature I’ve ever seen.

We’re in Longmont, Colorado with Mike Herman from Pond Pros checking out a front yard stream rebuild (done in 2020) that literally stops people in their tracks — dog walkers, joggers, neighbors… everyone.

But then Mike says, “There’s more… in the backyard.”

And THAT’S when things get crazy:
12-foot bridge (and nobody can resist crossing it)
Sunken patio built for the view
Negative edge / vanishing edge water storage
Fire + water features (urns, bowls, basalt columns)
A KOI WINDOW (yes… a koi window!)
90 large AquaBlox underneath for water storage + stable temps

This is a masterclass in what’s possible when an experienced contractor designs their OWN dream backyard.

And if you’re in the Longmont / Colorado area — Pond Pros is the real deal.

This pond setup costs more than the whole house!

that backyard; one word: SPEECHLESS! That is such an inspiration and relaxation all in one. I enjoyed thoroughly with headphones on just hearing the water, and when he highlighted every feature it was just a "WOW" after "WQW." I've done my own waterscapes/gardens for my personal enjoyment, but this definitely gives me inspiration on bigger and better in the near future.

The front yard water feature is so pretty. I love everything these guys do with ponds.

You could put quite a few big Koi fish goldfish as you’re in a warm climate you could probably have Oscars and some other tropical fish turtles even so why is it void of life? It’s so beautiful I think you just like running water maybe😊

I KNOW who Mike Herman is! LOL His crew did 3 water features (Good, Better, Best) on our property at 9200' in the mountains. NOW, after 5 years of living the aquascape lifestyle, we are moving and will need a new CAC when we get to our new home. Dang Mike, now THATS living the Aquascape lifestyle on steroids!

I have a really big favor, there’s a channel and story I really wish you would watch, it’s called Midwest Safety and the title is, bodycam released after cop is hit by truck. This man served 5 years in the military and 15 as an officer before he was hit and almost died. You guys tie in at the end but please watch the whole video as it shows how and why I immediately thought of you guys the moment he said pond. Please watch 🙏

The landscaping just doesn’t fit well with that house. It looks overwhelming in correlation to the house. The front yard project was kinda already pushing it. His house is a bit too modest for that level of landscaping. Especially for the back. Looking at that house, it can’t be more than a $350,000 1 level rancher style home but then it looks like he’s got landscaping thats probably worth the cost of the house or probably even more than what his house is worth. That level of landscaping looks better suited for a home that’s at least a million dollars. Just doesn’t make sense to me for that house but that’s just my own personal opinion. I personally would have stopped after the front yard. 👍
