ISW,
This is Dimash's directorial debut in July 2020.

QAIRAN ELIM (Oh, My Sacred Land) is a prayer dedicated not only to Dimash's homeland - Kazakhstan, but also to the entire planet Earth, as Earth is the birthplace of all humanity.

The ancient Kazakh instrument Qobyz is a sacred musical instrument to the Kazakhs and is thousands of years old.
In this video, you can hear wolves howling and the wind blowing in the steppes when played by Olzhas Kurmenbak.
The filming took place in Kazakhstan outdoors. A decision made as it is safer with Covid still around.

The deep voice of Iisbek Abilmazhinov at the beginning of the music video says:

"The Great Steppe... I praise your rich lands. Altai and Atyrau, Zhaiyk and Ili, Alatau and Saryarka - what expanses of my native land that has witnessed my happy years!
I am talking about the Great Steppe - the golden cradle of the Turkic world.
Hey, silent world! Do not hold your breath!
You have descendants who never hesitated and did not stand aside during fierce disputes and confrontations.
This land has an owner - a kind character and generous soul of whom could not spoil or break this changeable world with its distorted values.
The Great Steppe has a guardian spirit, unknown to a stranger, incomprehensible to an outsider."

The pianist, Renat Gaisin, a family friend, plays a real piano which is actually being burned as he plays.

At the very end of the video, which was in black and white, you get a glimpse of colour, signifying hope.

Thank you for your reaction.

Have you ever reacted to The Utimate Dimash Guide by LiLasi? It's a 10 part series all about Dimash and his training. It shows how he started entertaining people at age 2 during his parents concerts.  He started his training at age 5. Its a deep dive into his world.  Please react to those. He is a very humble and kind person.

“Quiran Elim” (with lyrics and music by Kazakh pianist Renat Gaissin, who accompanies Dimash in this video) is a prayer for Kazakhstan and for the martyrs who secured the country's independence! The video was directed by Dimash himself, and the song won a public vote on MTV (USA) in 2020!

I had forgotten how wonderful this song by Dimash was.  I haven't listened to it for a couple of years but the emotional feelings it evokes are still the same.  Thank you for your reaction.
