I own a Rino guitar, and your analysis is completely correct in every respect. It's got a dark, and powerful sound that you can really dig into. Probably one of the best guitars I've ever played.

I have the sisters DG300 and DG320...cannot be happier. I also think guitars change over time, temperature, humidity and use so is kinda a constant maintenance.

Both beautiful guitars I like the Eastman  being a electric guitar player some of the necks are more like a classic I do understand that’s how they are traditionally made .

I have 4 of the guitars on this list and have to confirm that the guitar I received from Thijs van der Harst is absolutely head and shoulders the best of the best. Christian and Tommy's reviews are spot on.

Hello Christian. Your job is amazing. I wanted to ask you some historical facts on gypsy jazz guitars. I have seen some old models of castellucia gypsy jazz guitars that have no cutaway. I have also seen footage of Joseph Reinhardt that played with jazz guitars with no cutaway. Is there a small amount of gypsy jazz guitars that were made like the standard shape but without the cutaway? Does this influence the sound? Thank you in advance

Because of this video, I commissioned a guitar from luthier Thijs van der Harst and everything Christian and Tommy say about his guitars is 100% correct. In fact, I'd say that the guitar I got from Thijs is even better than this review. It is the only guitar of my 7 GJ guitars that I did not have to take to my local luthier to have set up or correct any issues. Thijs' guitar arrived perfect in every way. Also, Thijs is a really nice person. He kept me in the loop the whole way. Great communication right up to having a Skype call to hear the guitar plus some extras that maybe I shouldn't communicate since I don't know if offers these to everyone. When I brought this guitar to my local luthier to show them, they were all over it and wanted to take photos inside and out. This is the one guitar I play every day and it keeps getting better sonically which is saying something since when it arrived it was already the best sounding guitar of my 7 collection. To give you an idea, I have a very expensive GJ guitar from a well known Paris, France luthier that cost more than Thijs' guitar and while it sounds very good, Thijs' guitar is better yet. Plus I had a lot of issues with that Paris guitar. Absolutely no issues with Thijs guitar. If you are looking for a great forever GJ guitar, go straight to Thijs van der Harst and look no further.
