You are the type of American I really like. A can do positive person who is not too fussy but thorough.

Great work Scott! So nice to listen to your thought process and enjoy some laughs with you too. God bless you brother.❤

Your work is so incredibly beautiful. Thank you

You're an inspiration! Really appreciate your detailed insight and thought process as you go along!

I really love your tutorials. Thank you so much. Appreciated.

Thank you for sharing how to paint an eye. You are n excellent teacher and artist. Actually, you are so talented, I felt discouraged to even try your lessons. I will never paint or draw as well as you. But with practice, I can at least improve. I hope to purchase your lessons or join your patreon. Every time I watch you paint, and that has been for years, I am astounded. Again thank you. I hope you had a good trip in Europe teaching.  Hope you have more art trips teaching in the future. Thanks.

Muchas gracias desde Barcelona ! we love youuuu !!

Awesome content as always. Thanks so much you are inspiring

I like your art & lessons. Will copy you.

This is a great video

Scott!!😂
Jacob Collins was just on the Undraped Artist Podcast (a small podcast about artists, as indicated by the very obvious name😂) and I only know of the existence of atiliers in general, and Jacob Collins in specific, because of laughing through your artist stories a year or so ago…let me just say, your rendition of him is spot on, such that had I encountered him on a train or something, I’d have felt confident walking right up to him, extending my arm to shake his hand, and stating, “Jacob! Lovely to meet you!”
Anyhow, I hope you’ll keep telling stories, because I don’t paint in oil whatsoever, so really have zero reason to watch you if there are no stories🤷🏻‍♀️☺️
In reality though, you’ve actually taught me a lot about art making in the professional realm and in general, as well as helping me to think about art creation differently than I had as merely a fully YT “trained” watercolor artist.👍🏻
I just wanted to be an encouragement to you to please continue putting out entertaining, art related content, as well as to  say “wassup” & share about the interview.
Please take care, and have a beautiful day!!

Amazing content

very interesting watch!

❤❤❤

wow

I always enjoy watching your videos.
However, the unfortunate thing is that I cannot listen to your lectures.
I am from South Korea, and I cannot understand your words without a translator.
Is there a special reason why your videos are made with captions unavailable?
If not, I would appreciate it if you could allow captions so that I can use Google Translate.

Os vídeos estão sem legendas e sem áudios em outras línguas . Não dá pra entender mais nada 😢

We all look forward to your next video! Do you start out with a professionally taken photograph as reference, and who takes them?

Hey Scott, very informative as always.  You didn't crack as many jokes as usual. :-{   I was wondering what you meant by 'aversion' to photographic realism.  What do you make of artists that paint in that fashion or strive for that exactness?  I've been painting for almost 6 years and have found it extremely difficult to paint looser due to my personality and having to be as perfect as possible with other aspects in life.  As a pharmacist, instrument rated commercial pilot, astrophotographer, and pianist I've had to push myself to try to be perfect every time for obvious reasons since being 'mostly right' probably wouldn't be... ideal.  I really would like to paint looser but fail to paint something that doesn't look exactly like the reference photo.  I also think that many people who aren't artists look upon artists that paint photo realistically as being the better artist since painters that don't paint that way would if they could but can't, so they don't.  Was there a time that you strived for painting photo realistically and were able to break away from that 'beginner attitude'?  If so, then how or what would you or other comment readers recommend for artists such as myself and others that share my difficulties? Thanks to all those taking the time to read all this and leave some suggestions.

Thank you Scott for this video, I really enjoyed it watching! But I have a question why you don't like Hyperrealism painting? It Would be interesting to know your opinion about. Thanks
