It’s always going to be Staples Center to me. I’m a Clippers fan and Intuit Dome is my home arena. Showing pictures of old school LA makes me wanna cry, it was such a great city back in the 80’s and 90’s. Today it’s not what it used to be, I miss the LA I grew up in.😢

It will always be the Staples Center to me. Watching some amazing concerts over the years, and occasionally watching Hall of Fame Lakers players like Kobe, Shaq and Paul Gasol. Thanks for sharing.

You used to be able to take the blue line up from Long Beach and see Staples Center on the ride in beautifully light up the sky. Unfortunately they built a ton of new high rise buildings that block that incredible view

Staples Center. I remember when the Lakers, Clippers, and Kings were all in the playoffs at the same time. The Clippers would play at noon, then the Lakers at 7:30. Then the next day, Kings at noon.

First! Also, wish they never took the crypto money. Locals will always call the arena Staples center, just like we still call X twitter

Can you do the Anaheim convention center next? It's received so many updates, but the sports arena is still intact! Would love a deep dive, especially since it's competing for comic-con international when their contract ends with sand Diego

One of the most amazing arenas in the NBA. The upgrades have made it even better, apart from the outdoor light thing. Trends should not be followed just to copy others when it really does not make sense. I honestly don't think it makes the experience better. Outside light seems distracting. That being said, the atmosphere of the arena is still impressive and has that large LA feel to it.

A few worthy points you did not mention.

During construction, there was a fire on the 12th Street entrance.
Bruce Springsteen was the first ever event held at STAPLES Center.
The FOX SPORTS SKYBOX was the first sports bar of its kind there, it was open to the general public and no event ticket was required to enter there with access to the actual arena towards the back with event ticket.
The Los Angeles Avengers (AFL) were more popular than the Clippers and Sparks at the time.
The Democratic National Convention (DNC) was held there.
Madonna had a concert scheduled there that night when 9/11 happened.

I enjoyed going to staples center (Crypto arena). I would check out lakers, clippers, kings games. Too bad clips moved to inglewood but I can still check out lakers/la kings at staples center.
