They handled the Witness' rage so well in this expansion. It's genuinely terrifying but satisfying at the same time to see this eldritch horror scream at you because you hurt it. It genuinely believes in trying to convince you that it's a living embodiment of salvation, up until you destroy some of its mind statues then it's like "okay, now you die"
I really hope somebody can find the isolated audio of that line, it would be great for soundboards. The enunciation on "You insolent SPECK" is so perfect.
I love how easily our Ghost saw right through the Witness. The offer of godhood didn't even cross his mind, all he's thinking about is "Why the hell would the Witness make that kind of an offer?". Then it crosses his mind that the Witness might ACTUALLY be desperate and fearful of the Guardian, and with the mere mention of Targe, his theory was proven right with how flustered the Witness was.
I love the way they handled the Witness in this. The way its voice devolves from the whispering multitude into the harsh singular true voice, full of malice and hate compared to its previous calm dissafection.
I like how unhinged and irrational the Witness gets here. After billions of years of being completely untouchable, it felt a single moment of pain and completely lost its composure.
Quite possibly my favourite voice acting in destiny.
