i think azir player threw the 1st game pretty hard, that showdown turn was a pain to watch....

Charming the forerunner into the dreaming tree then pushing up all your units into ornns forge to hold with a ton of might seemed good at the end of game 1.

31:15 You can activate a hidden card after the only unit there is removed, but ONLY in combat, where control cannot be lost until combat is over.

I really want one of those two player play mats they use.

@31:50 y’all talking about a window after a unit leaves battlefield to cast hiddens: if your only unit at a battlefield has a deathknell ability and it dies technically that ability will go on the stack before you lose control of a battlefield giving you an opportunity to cast a hidden card at said battlefield!!! This has the potential to cause very interesting things…

Can't believe it took this long for rengar to get shown. He's crazy good. +5 on attack? Who needs punch first?

Playing the Azir unaccelerated did nothing for him the entire game... threw his next turn because he had no mana to defy cleave and prevent Annie from taking Dreaming Tree. Worst case scenario from his perspective is Annie just plays another combat trick or damage spell, but at that point you bait out two spells with one defy. Would've been able to hold out unless Annie double fight or flighted his soldiers or moves his Forerunner away, which burns Annies resources. Save Azir for later, but he wasted Arise as well when choosing not to go in with double brutalizer proc...

Where's tibbers when you need him?

Are there more streams for this azir player?

@DraXCore 7 months ago

Is there anywhere people can buy those mats or dice that they use in these events?

the winner cheated on a previous game, recycling a chaos rune instead of fury rune... he has 6 chaos rune and 1 fury... he should have recycling 1 fury on a cast and he recycled a chaos, after he played cleave and recycling the fury rune for draven .. eveyrthing in the the same play. how judge did not noticed the cheat

Dude keeps calling it a RenGUARD instead of RenGAR lol

There is a moment in game 1, the Azir player is at 6 points (Annie is at 5). He needs two more points to win.

(1) He could either try to conquer both fields to win at that turn (seems too difficult to pull off based on Annie’s defensive state at Dreaming Tree).

OR

(2) Conquer and hold one battlefield until his next turn.

Annie has

(1) 1 card in hand,

(2) a Ferrous Forerunner and hidden card [maybe Tide Turner] on Ornn’s Forge (6 might)

and

(3) a Draven, 2 Traveling Merchants, 2 Mechs, and a hidden card at Dreaming Tree (16 might).

Azir has

(1) six runes (2G and 4Y) available,

(2) a Charm, Defy, and Cull the Weak in hand,

(3) 12 might ready with 3 sand tokens (2 equipped with Eye of Herald) and Azir champion,

(4) and also has 2 unequipped Brutalizers and 1 unequipped Eye of Herald.

—-
Azir player’s best bet is to:

Charm the Ferrous Forerunner back to base to reveal the hidden card or force a discard.

Equip one recruit gear with Eye of Herald to gain 1 more might to 13 total might.

Attack into Ornn’s Forge.

Get that point even if Tide Turner swaps with Draven and maintain 7 might at Ornn’s Forge.

Keep one green open to keep Defy up if Annie player has a spell.

can the english commentators try to discuss what cards do and key combos, either in-play or in players' decks more? as a new player I love the content but english commentary is not helping me follow the games much.
