Your the man. Juan gabriel is one of the very very rare artist  who can transmit emotions and make the whole world feel. He was a true master and gift for the world, forever.

I haven't lost my parents yet, thank the lord. But this song makes you painfully aware of that reality.

My mom died of cancer one year ago.  I had no idea this song was about his mother. It's ok to cry.

the lyric where he says, “but i know one day i’ll be with you so we can continue loving each other” breaks my heart because he has passed away now :( i hope he’s with his mom now so they can continue loving each other

I don't know a person alive that doesn't get destroyed by this song.

I lost my mom back in 2010. Before then, this song would play and I was like “Catchy tune”…ever since August 2010, I cannot listen to this song without shedding tears. I miss you mom. 😞

Hey man, thank you for covering this song.   Life has no language or culture .  We are all the same. We love our parents.  We want them forever.     Reality is different

I just want to remind everybody that it's okay to cry.

Aquí es donde los verdaderos hombres lloramos

This song is played at a lot of Mexican Mothers funerals.   My mom played it at my grandma's funeral.  You can't help but cry no matter how many times you listen to it.

It;s ok to cry. It is said that we Mexicans cry when we sing because we put our hearts into the lyrics. Music is one of the best forms to express our emotions.

I used to listen to this song as a kid growing up with my momma on vinyl...and now....unfortunately, I sit here in tears, alone without her, listening to it in her memory.

I miss my momma. God bless bro.

If you dont cry listening juan gabriel you are not human

Juan Gabriel makes the most manliest of men cry, and it's okay. My mother still lives, and this song ALWAYS gets me right in the feels.

I’m sorry for what you’re going through with your pops. This is a very special song for Mexicans and all Latinos. It has essentially become the anthem for every funeral. Thank you for taking the time to review a song that helps us all grieve in our own way.

5 years since my mom passed this song still makes me bawl 😔💔💔 RIP mi viejita 🥺

Grew up Mexican on the same timeline as this guy, where mostly not all were homophobic, yet  this guy change my generation, and generations to  come. Not only change Mexico's traditions he change the latin America. Mexico took him as a son  and its people adore him with pride regardless of sexual preference.  this icon is considered one the best latin singers and writer all time not only Mexicos but all Latin America. homophobic, conservative, and tradition people that did not approved this lifestyle, yet song all his songs with  pride and an joy. his talent was a force that broke any walls, region and hate.

My man fighting to hold it together. Just let it go and embrace the pain

He wrote this for his mom who passed away. It has since been adopted by every hispanic household to commemorate a loved one's passing. Instant tears. Its a gorgeous song but heartbreaking. Juan Gabriel is the greatest icon and a giant in his field. Prolific songwriter,  powerhouse vocalist and national treasure ❤

I’ve been listening to this song my entire life, I cry every time
