Do you understand English when you read it, but struggle when people speak naturally?
Maybe you know the vocabulary. Maybe you understand the grammar. But when you hear a real conversation, the words seem to connect, disappear, or move too quickly.
This 40-minute English podcast lesson is designed to help you change that.
Alice and David guide you through a relaxed, natural B1โB2 listening practice where the goal is not to understand every single word. Instead, you will learn how to follow the main idea, use context, recognize natural expressions, understand longer conversations, and become more comfortable with real spoken English.
๐ฟ WHAT YOUโLL PRACTICE
โ Understanding English without translating every word
โ Catching the main idea of conversations and stories
โ Using context to understand unfamiliar vocabulary
โ Following natural B1โB2 conversations
โ Recognizing connected and contracted speech
โ Understanding common expressions and conversation signals
โ Staying focused during longer listening sections
โ Shadowing natural English sentences
โ Building a realistic daily listening routine
This lesson is especially useful if you often think:
โI know this word, but I didnโt understand it when someone said it.โ
That is normal. Reading vocabulary and recognizing the same vocabulary in natural speech are different skills. Your ears need regular contact with spoken English.

๐ก HOW TO USE THIS LESSON
For your first listen, relax and follow the conversation without stopping every time you hear an unfamiliar word.
On your second listen, pay more attention to useful expressions, pronunciation, connected speech, and how Alice and David move naturally between ideas.
Then choose a short section and practice shadowing. Listen to one sentence and repeat it aloud while trying to copy the rhythm and natural flow.
You do not need perfect pronunciation. You are training your ears and mouth to work together.
๐ YOUR 7-DAY LISTENING CHALLENGE
Listen to English every day for the next seven days.
Even 15โ20 minutes can become valuable practice when you listen consistently and actively. Instead of asking, โWhat words didnโt I understand?โ try asking:
โWhat did I understand?โ
Focus on the people, situation, main idea, emotions, problem, and result.
