What is chance from a mathematical perspective? How are random events described and the probability of various events calculated? Is the use of probability in physics merely a manifestation of our limited knowledge, or is the Universe fundamentally probabilistic and fundamentally unpredictable? The interview with Dr. Tomasz Miller was moderated by Paweł Błach.

Dr. Tomasz Miller is a mathematical physicist, science popularizer, and translator of popular science literature. He works at the Copernicus Center for Interdisciplinary Studies at the Jagiellonian University, where he studies geometric structures at the intersection of general relativity and quantum mechanics. He is the recipient of the "Popularizer of Science" award in the scientist category (2024). He can be found on the Copernicus YouTube channel, where he discusses physics, cosmology, and mathematics, including in the mini-lecture series "Let's Start from Scratch."
