Even if the "Air Umbrella" worked, it would be such a dick move to use it since you're basically spraying water at everyone around you.

OK of all the stupid ideas, at least the car juggling robot would've been fun to see.

The BugJuggler not being fully funded is criminal

An interesting one that was left out of this list is Five Nights at Freddy's, it was technically a Kickstarter failure. It had a 10,000 dollar goal and made 0.

The idea that a group of people tried to fund a giant car-juggling robot is too funny to me. 😂

The how to be a successful kickstarter book failing on kickstarter is actually so funny. It’s like writing a book called “how to be a millionaire” when you’ve got 300 bucks to your name

imagine having a date over for dinner and they ask you to pass the salt and you have to look this other human in their eyes and say “I need to update the firmware on my salt shaker first”

Love how a lot of these basically boil down to:
"Hey, what if this item that works perfectly fine on it's own needed a phone even to be able to turn it on!?"

My favorite kick starter story is the potato salad one. Starting as a joke and ending up being a potato salad themed charity event.

‘a machine that makes meatballs that taste the way that certain music sounds’ has to be one of the funniest sentences i’ve ever heard

I'm so glad the Triton gills weren't released because having the perception that you can breathe underwater without actually being able to is terrifying. Someone could've died

Three words: "Cans Without Labels". That was an absolute disaster.

"THINK YOUVE HAD IT ROUGH, TRY GROWING UP WITHOUT A FATHER" is single handedly the best written and delivered line of all time across all mediums😂😂😂😂

I like how the 9/11 was like "don't worry guys, $1.5 mil is enough to buy the plane!" and not even mention how building a replica of the Twin Towers would cost hundreds of millions of dollars, just to blow it up in the end.

That clipboard ad was absolutely gold. Full scam language, done to perfection.

I think it would have been really funny if the 9/11 guy took his 150$, used it to buy an RC plane, and then flew it into a sand castle

I always wondered if the "Smalt" had been successful would they have made a "Smepper?"

The guy who managed to get 6$ by 6 differents backers is almost a work of art.

They could have marketed the Gordonator as a device to generate electricity using Gordon Ramsay's white-hot rage on Hell's Kitchen and it would be more believable than their actual pitch.
