I love a guy who trams his mill by eye, then uses a edge finder to place the hole, and uses a steel rule to check his sanity, my kind of shop.

It's coming together nicely, Rusti. You're lucky to be able to source nice big chunky pieces of steel like that. This is an enjoyable build to watch and you are doing a great job. I like the constant shaper/milling machine conundrum.
