It’s probably a mix of stock home syndrome, survivors guilt, and other trauma related to what happened to him a little after his death with what I can tell from the flashbacks at least. Which kinda reminds me of other characters with similar backstories such as Mao Mao. The similarities being slightly different but still more or less the same like where they works, their moms getting some type of illness as well as being highly demanded, tho I do think Cyrus’s experience what Mao Mao didn’t it’s still pretty close to one another but Mao Mao has a much better life than his simply because his still a setting similar to how it was with his mother like being called a “pretty little thing” or “doll” of what I can tell from his father with his hands being where they don’t belong.

Which if you look at it from Cyrus’s pov it’s much better than his living conditions when he was human cuz of where he was and him probably being in high demand more or less cause his mother and comparing where he lived and now lives it’s much better with special treatment however it’s less of that kind of attention but sill there by the father and Mikael which probably plays a big role in Cyrus’s hating Mikael and like you said the huge power in palace, probably other things as well but I think those are more major than the other reasons Cyrus’s may or may not have. Like from the flashbacks we see Mikael acts very much like his father with how he acts towards Cyrus’s which his father didn’t like, as he literally states I don’t have to share you with those two brats or something similar to that. So I’m assuming father, son, and sister gave Cyrus special treatment but only the sister didn’t think of him that way as in why she can stop trusting him so easily however we definitely know Mikael can’t cause of how he feels toward Cyrus which very similar to his father both willing to sacrifice their lives or at least stop Cyrus from dying. Like Mikael literally ignores his sister’s warning and how Cyrus’s constant attempts to kill him.. maybe he was the same with the father I don’t know tho. But that’s just a theory a game theory!!

Side note loved this video especially right at 4 am and keep up the good work. I forget how much I can’t think about something like this anyways I wrote a lot oh my.
