We got to stay patient, stay humble, and stay grounded

Mr Short got caught with his pants down and got folded like a cheap lawn chair in the Bird's Defense

Got here from YT Algo, love the content. Always liked the Bird too, happy to subscribe!

looks like a caro-kann with an additional annoying pawn in d4

Nice win and explanation. I feel like Rambo and Die Hard got mixed into one awesome package somewhere along the line.

haha, a raven winning using the bird

well done bro, Nigel is still a beast

That dastardly Short! Really shows the power of Birds Defence to get a position like that against one of the greats 🎉

Nice win! Make it a priority to brush up on all the book moves...if you can't remember them, it will be harder to win.

"First Blood" was the first movie where John Rambo camped out in the forest. Christmas movie you are probably thinking of "Die Hard". Nigel Short wanders into the Dragon's Den huh? Brings back memories of sitting in Hastings Chess Club waiting for news of the latest world championship game. No internet. Playing in the same school team as GM Stuart Conquest. Those were the days. Unfortunately Nigel  had to settle for his gold Blue Peter badge (Wonder if he still has it.). Great game Bro. Thanks for sharing.

Did you see Nigel’s tweet joking that if the KGB had killed Gary in the 90s, he would’ve been WC?

I'm 0-1 against Nigel Short 🙂.

He was  a bit of a prodigy and had won an important UK tournament aged 13 or 14. After that he played a simultaneous against the top 20 Bristol schoolkids.  I was one of them (aged 17, i think).
He won 19.5 to 0.5.
I wasn't the one who drew 😂😊

Short circuited.

Nice. I was just watching him play some matches from 1981 on The Master Game youtube channel. Absolutely worth checking out.

1>10 😂

Keep it up. This channel will get notoriety soon enough. Love the content
