Newly improved version of the first Metal Slug game from 1996! Each Metal Slug tank in every stage is replaced with SV-001 Type-R and SV-001 Bronze, superior versions of the original SV-001 tank. And some unused/scrapped contents of the game are present. And a new HP Bar feature is also available!

Metal Slug: Super Vehicle-001(メタルスラッグ-Metaru Suraggu) is a run and gun video game for the Neo-Geo console/arcade platform created by SNK. It was released in 1996 for the MVS arcade platform. The game is widely known for its sense of humor, extremely fluid hand-drawn animation, and fast-paced two-player action. It is the first title in the Metal Slug series.

flame shot in MS1 is quite unique yet a bit weak, it specialized for infantry because it has longer range but weaker than normal flame shot

No one ever once listened to the "THIS GAME IS FOR USE IN JAPAN ONLY." message at the beginning and I'm pretty sure the creators actually preferred that.

In the 90s, as a kid, I didn’t realize how much pixel art this game contained. Back then, with far fewer tools than are available today, the level of detail and quality is superb. I don’t mean to disregard the skilled newcomers of today, but when creativity was constrained by limitations, gems like this emerged.
