Shame about the hoops you had to jump through to get this done, but for TWA it’s very much appreciated!

Guys, Erica had to cut out her first play though of the song, so what you're watching here is her analysis after hearing the full song.

This is one of the best ways to get to know DPA almost on a personal level. When you get to Black holes, listen to Breathe at the same time

The great thing about The Warning is they are able to put on a great show while actually singing and playing their instruments. There are so many acts out there, especially pop acts, who, while they do sing and play instruments live some of the time, they prioritize their dance routines and stunts and rely on backing tracks and lip synching for a large portion of their live shows. The Warning do use some backing tracks to fill out their sound but if their backing tracks cut out, they would keep going without skipping a beat and still put on a killer show.

You are exactly right in that The Warning has worked their tails off and they pay attention to every detail. Which includes moving on stage, coordination, and so on. At some point you will likely see one of their documentaries or interviews or behind the scenes and you'll see how The Warning wants to deliver the most full-on performance that they can - it is what they like to see from their favorites and thus want to do the same themselves. I think you are going to keep on enjoying learning about these women, and their journey is really well documented!

These ladies understood right from the beginning that people reacting to their music is a very effective way of reaching new fans fast and negotiated hard to keep as much control as possible. Rumour is they even had a clause put in their contract that reactions to videos from their channel wouldn't get blocked. Such a shame that Universal Music Group is apparently to dumb to understand that more fans ultimately leads to more revenue and decided to start cracking down anyway...

Keep going with this concert for now, it's all amazing.
Their names are Daniela “Dany” [guitar, lead vocals, piano], Paulina “Pau” [drums, vocals, piano], and Alejandra “Ale” Villarreal [bass, piano, backing vocals]

TW didn't block the video. UMG is making everyone's life miserable, those greedy little bastards! Up until a couple of weeks ago TW had no problems. It's a shame. Please continue to react to them. They are the best band currently out there. Also, AMC theaters are showing the concert from Mexico City from this past February. It starts August 21.

You are nailing it. I hate people that talk about, "naturally talented". No, they work their asses off.

I think the confusion here is that it was not clarified she had to include only the Análisis since the actual listen and reaction had to be cut because YouTube doesn't like it anymore. Good analysis!

Nice reaction, analysis and input on “The Warning’s” “Choke” live performance! 👏

When you watch early performance of the ladies practicing in their family basement, they are facing a full size wall mirror. This allowed them, from the start of their career, to watch themselves as they performed live. In interviews they talked about intentionally observing themselves to find areas for improving their stage presence.

If you would like to check out their vocal versatility check out “23” and “Revenant” from their 2022 Teatro Metropolitan CDMX concert. Also watch “Dust to Dust”/“Dull Knives”, “Hell You Call a Dream”, “Amour” and “Black Holes” from their 2023 Pepsi Center CDMX concert.

Very refreshing reaction touching into others miss: All the concerted efforts, deliberate moves, and tiny but important subtleties only 10 years of career and hard work can give. Besides the full wall of sound of this three piece where no one can slack off and gotta play multiple roles. Thanks.

Cheers for the reaction Erica (despite the hassles!). Love this band - have seen them twice now (UK), can't wait for the next time.  This is a great song, timeless. I particularly like it when Ale sings her part (bass player) as you don't get to hear her on her own that often. 🤘

Great analysis of my favourite The Warning song. Thanks very much. ❤✌🤘⚡🔥

If we're right, the next few songs from this show shouldnt have copyright issues for you. Looking forward to them. Love your analysis and your enthusiasm ⚡️⚡️⚡️

Some of the best and most insightful commentary I've heard in a reaction video. Thanks for sharing your expertise and observations!

What is amazing is their ages at the time of this concert 18,20 and23

🔥⚡Awesome reaction and I'm here for more of The Warning..!   Don't let UMG/YT keep you down..!  Let's go... ⚡🔥

The girls have always been about the show.  Their parents are not musicians but have always loved music.  The family spent time together  watching concert videos instead of movies.  They were taking piano lessons when their parents bought them Rock Band, the video game.  They played it all the time and were mesmerized, not by the instruments, but by the show on the screen.  They wanted to create the show!  They learned their instruments, etc. to create the show.  Dany started guitar lessons at 8 and Pau started drum lessons at 6 (Ale was 3).  Pau's drum teacher suggested that she sing while playing drums (to make it more interesting for a 6-year old).  All three continued piano and Ale started playing bass at 8, not to form a band but because she thought it was a cool instrument.  They are very well documented on YouTube.  Tidal Rising is a 20-minute documentary made by the girls about their beginning.  Mayday in the Making is a 6-part (5 mins each) documentary about their beginning and being signed (after 2 crowd-funded albums) with Lava Records.  It has interviews with their parents, their manager, their record label and their producer.  They also did 2 Ted Talks, one in 2016 before releasing their 1st album and one in 2017, right after releasing that album.  If you want to watch any of these on your channel, The Warning  Army will attend.

Super commentary. Agree that their focus and dedication to the PERFORMANCE is a big part of what makes TW so compelling/mesmerizing/addictive. When their dad built them a practice room when they were very young ... that's where their 2014 Enter Sandman cover that went viral was video'd, when they were 14, 12 and 9 ... he very brilliantly had the entire front wall mirrored. So from the very beginning, they've been aware of what they looked like, when they were performing. And IIRC, in an interview, Dany said that one of their takeaways from their time at Berklee (in 2015) was that music is a PERFORMING art. (Not her words.) So this attention to the detail is long engrained. And it's something they've said they consider and discuss as early as the song-writing phase.
