Apollo's such a great character. RIP to Carl Weathers.

26:39 This is peak Adrian. Her speech here is one of the best moments in the series. Adrian has evolved into her ultimate form.

Yeah the statue is Real. But its not on the stairs any more, it's down the street from the art museum

Rocky at Mick's dying side - the screams - still gives me goosebumps. Outstanding acting.

I love Adrian's pep talk on the beach, and I pity the fool who doesn't.

One of my favorite quotes from this movie:

Mick: No one does this much for charity.
Rocky: Bob Hope would.
Mick: True.

Stallone saw Mr. T on a proto-reality show called The Worlds Toughest Bouncer and wrote him a part in this film. Then he got cast in The A Team which was a hit tv show, and then he got his own cartoon, cereal and other merch. He was an 80s pop culture icon. Also the A team was very popular in England so he had a big fan base there too.

My favorite quote from the Mr T Saturday morning cartoon was when one of the kids saw him defeat an alligator and asked him if he was scared. Mr T responded, "Of course I was scared! A hero ain't somebody who don't get scared....a hero is somebody who LICKS being scared!" I always wondered how many kids were eaten by alligators after that.

That's a bold strategy, Cotton.

"there is no tomorrow" and "its too bad we gotta get old" those are my biggest motivators in life

Another song that Stallone was considering for Rocky 3, was a song called " You`re The Best Around" by Joe Esposito. Stallone instead went with " Eye of the Tiger." You`re the Best Around" was later used in the movie " The Karate Kid" instead. Stallone discovered Mt. T on a show called " America`s Toughest Bouncers." Mr. T also previously denied Stallone access to one of the fighters Mr. T was guarding in the dressing room. Stallone was impressed by his toughness and offered him the job.

22:15 this is one of my favorite moments in the series. When Apollo suggests teaming up with Rocky.

Carl Weathers had a very brief NFL career. 2 years with the Oakland Raiders before he got in to acting. So he was always in great shape. His boxing technique was spot on for someone who had no prior experience. A great movie icon. May he rest in peace 🙂

Mr. T was an actor's bodyguard turned actor for this movie. I adored Burgess Meredith when I was young. I enjoyed everything he did, especially the Penguin on Batman.
