"Honey, I Shrunk the Church"

"Troubled Anglican" here.  No offense taken.  I am not alone in my troubled nature.  Pray for us, me and my family, and the Anglican communion as a whole.

I'm a Catholic convert in the UK. When I was confirmed this past Easter, the other converts were all former Anglicans. Apparently this is a growing trend in the UK, especially amongst Gen Z where more are catholic than Church of England. Praying England with become Catholic again

There's an old British comedy series called "Yes Prime Minister" and in one of the episodes they are dealing with appointing a new Bishop and one of the exchanges between the characters of that series has always stuck with and struck me as being quite true:

"James Hacker:
How could the Church of England suggest an atheist as Bishop of Bury St Edmunds?

Sir Humphrey Appleby:
Well, very easily. The Church of England is primarily a social organization, not a religious one.

James Hacker:
Is it?

Sir Humphrey Appleby:
Oh yes. It's part of the rich social fabric of this country. So bishops need to be the sorts of chaps who speak properly and know which knife and fork to use. The sort of people one can look up to."

Folks, let’s not be triumphalist with this. Let’s help the lost people in those denominations to find that they have their home in the Church.

At this point I’ve begun assuming that Joe’s fashion sense has actually developed so much, that if we were to see what he had adorned our faces would melt away similar to what had happened in the first Indiana Jones movie

I'm currently Anglican but my ~traditional ("anglo-catholic")~ Anglican parish here in Australia really does not like this development. I've been moving toward the Catholic Church for a while but this has pushed me over the line :'D

I can't believe they elected Austin Powers as the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Anglican all my life.   Catholic since last week.

Joe has AI Trent Horn say Joe belongs on the cover of GQ.  Camera immediately corrupts.  Divine justice.

Hi, English Catholic convert here: like every other Protestant church, the Anglican Church continues to splinter down to the Nth degree. This has been coming for a loooong time

From the people who brought you: "We are splitting from you."

They now bring you: "Wait don't split!"

Anglicans: if you find yourself converting, please bring your impeccable choral tradition to the Catholic Church. We desperately need it now!

St Augustine of Canterbury pray for us and our Anglican separated brothers!

I’m a recent convert from Anglicanism to the Catholic Church. What you say puts into systematic form all the roughly formed, inarticulate, half-thought-out feelings that pushed me and my late wife over the line. I wish I could have heard it years ago, but probably I wouldn’t have been ready. I marvel at how we thought we could get home in such a leaky boat as the Anglican Church is! Thank you!

I'm a Catholic convert in Cyprus. Was an Anglican for more than 20 years.

We all know that Joe just shaved his beard off and is embarrassed about his baby-face. It's okay Joe, be brave

Always a good time to come home to the Catholic Church! ✝️

Please she is not pro choice, she is pro abortion

This is how the devil splits churches.  This is how it’s been done all along.
