the group calling each other by their character's names was strangely endearing

I don't know why Jacob as Sonic, Jome as Tails, Cade as Knuckles and Izzy as Amy felt so perfect but it did.

A sponsored Sonic video is a hilarious concept.  Game breaks, everyone goes “HUH,” and then we just cut to a fun boss fight

I really love how this game emphasized the idea of Eggman using animals to power his robots. Normally it’s just a detail that you ignore whenever you defeat one or beat a stage, but it’s on full display here with you seeing them actually reacting happily

32:08 Fun fact - each one they get into corresponds to the design Eggman's vehicle had in their debut games (so Sonic is in the original, Tails is in the one from Sonic 2, Amy in Sonic CD's, and Knuckles - and this is the easiest to spot because Sonic or Tails actually operate it in a cutscene in that game to begin with - is in S3&K's), though the proportions are slightly different on the 2 and CD ones, presumably for balance reasons.

Why is Knuckles not in the ending cinematic? Did he just like book it as soon as he realized all that was left was a big friendship victory moment? He's so real for this tbh.

The best part of this video has to be Alpha turning Super Sonic for the first (and last) time and dying instantly.

there is currently 27 and a half children in my basement

6:00 he says it's the Omnidroid from Incredibles as a joke, but then the way to beat it is literally exactly the same as how they beat the Omnidroid in the Incredibles

Alpharad is like sonic in real life because he is blue and collects rings

“Bugs?! In my Sonic game??” God that’s so real

27:41 Ah... Knuckles and infinite height glitches... Never laughed so damn hard before..... 😂

I love when Knuckles used a special variant of the move “Tax Fraud” at 27:43 (edit: my bad it's Tax Evasion but I'm still going to call this variation Tax Fraud)

Getting an official Sega sponsorship is wild

13:53
"Stop filling the air with *DROWNING NOISES*!"
"It's my enemy stand!"

I love how many times sega has "reimagined" classic sonic in the past years

25:55 Cade's lone "She's hot?!?" is so goddamn funny to me.

I love seeing a group of adults having a blast with a sonic game in this day and age.

I like how the gamebreaking glitches are almost exclusively Cade

The chaos emerald sections are so panic-inducing with this group even when I’m just watching madness unfold through a YouTube video
