imagine being some japanese lady at 4am going for a jog and some american drenched in sweat runs past you on the hottest week in Japan. And the guy has like 2 million subscribers
Rek's brain really went "So it's very hot and humid outside, and I'm severely jetlagged. Clearly the best course of action right now is to go jogging in an unfamiliar place at an ungodly time in the morning with very little water."
1 - Rek Is like that fit dude who is super chill all the time 2 - Rek spends all of his inteligence and carefullness in minecraft 3 - Rek just laughs to ease the pain
I see so many people who don't understand that overheating works differently in different environments. Yes, 99 degrees isn't that hot, all things considered, but 85% humidity at that temperature makes it extremely hard to cool off. It's the difference between sticking your arm into a 250 degree Fahrenheit oven (not that bad) and sticking your arm into a pot of boiling water (very bad, despite 'only' being 212 degrees Fahrenheit). While that is an exaggeration, it still highlights the point; humidity makes heat harder to withstand. It's easier to run in a 100 degree desert than in a 100 degree rainforest; the humidity keeps your sweat from evaporating and cooling you off, leading to faster and worse heatstroke that takes longer to recover from in a cool environment. Even Olympic swimmers can't swim in water that's hotter than their body temp without risking heatstroke. Hot water makes it harder for the body to cool off, and when that water is in the air, we call it humidity.
40% "you don't understand"
