Yup, one of the rare shows thart Disney didn't screw up

This was lion king show that deserved it's own movie and a spin off series.

I love the Lion Guard while growing up, this show has been apart of my childhood since I was born just like the lion king.

The only thing I didn't like about the Lion Guard is how it was treated to be in the same universe as the original Lion King.

Simba had two whole movies that focused on loss, grief, and acceptance that his father was never coming back and that he needed to move on. And yet in TLG, Kion can just ring him up in the clouds to get council and guidance whenever he wants.

In the second movie, Simba has to learn that Scar is never coming back and that he is truly dead (and doesn't live on metaphorically through Kovu). Even Zira struggles to accept that Scar is truly dead. And then the Outlanders just straight up summon Scar's spirit.

The Lion Guard actively disregards one of the most important lessons in the first and second movies, and adds extra lore that doesn't fit in the original universe because this show was made long after the first two movies were completed. If this show featured a whole new set of different characters (like if we started out with the Night Pride instead), the show would be a lot more cohesive! It's good enough for what it is, but you'd have to ignore a huge chunk of the original lore and character arcs of the first movies to truly enjoy it.

Genuinely my childhood show. I rewatched it at least 4 times, such a rich story and surprisingly well-made despite Disney's recent screw-ups.

Throw back to when disney wasnt actually trying to break cannon

The one thing that kept me coming back to this show was the MUSIC! African music is so underrated in mainstream media & I loved that this show had that!

I really liked this show. Even though it sometimes relied on really clichéd plot devices. But there was one character I just couldn’t stand: Bonga. The bravest of the group—or rather, the dumbest of the group. It’s easy to confuse courage with stupidity, and Kion did just that. Because of him, they often got into trouble. More than once, in fact.

Do y'all remember when we all thought kion and jasiri were about to be on some interspecies type of timing?

I just can't get enough of these series. I desperately want to see a new series that takes place after Kion becomes king of the tree of life.

Calling Kion (K-EYE-on) Keeon is funna make me cry. Tho I’m happy people are giving this show the credit it deserves. Because this show was PEAK.

Is anyone else kinda taken aback by how much of this show’s conflict is depicting actual warfare tactics? Like cutting off resources, the destruction of civilian homes/refugees, espionage, misdirection, ambushes, logistics attacks, attempted assassination, emphasis on morale and keeping it or breaking it, alliances and even a lesson about not trying to influence foreign governments to install leaders that YOU like not that they choose.

I think that is most unique aspect of the lion guard among ANY show Ive watched: Makku. The crocodile leader who initially takes over the float from a wise elder Simba and kion trust and is framed as an untrustworthy adversary who still took power in a legitimate and recognized way(If memory serves). It’s so interesting seeing how as time passes we grow to trust Makku just as Kion does, and how trusting makku allows him to defend the float from a leader like Kiburi who is a follower of scar. I genuinely haven’t seen this before or since.

I i’m so glad to know that lion guard is regarded as such an amazing show, is really a cornerstone for my childhood. I didn’t get to watch season three until I was like 12, where it has been like six years since I watched the show. Now that I’m in high school I still think that it’s a really good show.

Easily one of if not the best show on Disney Jr.

Every second of the show is music 🎶 🎵 and dancing

The Lion Guard was a surprisingly decent show for its kind.  My only real problem with it is that Kion could be a little overpowered at times, since he’s got a magical roar that sometimes serves as a dues ex machina.

This show was my childhood and deserved a season 4

IT PISSES ME OFF THAT SO MANY PEOPPLE DONT KNOW ABOUT THE LION GUARD ITS SUCH A GOOD SHOW.

fun fact: There's a movie, its called "The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride" Where you get Kovu and Kiara's story that seems to last this whole series of The Lion Guard

This is one of my childhood shows, that I enjoyed and never forgotten.
