The title says " The attack begins ".

Waited for the attack, no attack.

Ah, the beginning of the father-son tradition of making the audience cry to the tune of Wander, My Friends.

Adama is literally the grumpy old dad we all needed.

Adama knew the stresses of flying a Viper because he was an ace in the first war

Frack! Now I have to start re-watching this classic series!

SO SAY WE ALL!

"You see the engraving?"
"I can barely make it out"
Cut to the most visible engraving in the history of engravings

That weight room discussion is one of the best in the whole series.  Great work, all around.

man Adama is such a badass

so cool to see science fiction made in the past that foretold a future with humans not having super intelligent AI....kinda makes it funny too

One of my favorite moments in this season took place right at the beginning of this episode. That moment where adama says, " we take the tilium from the cylons ". That moment really hit the drama button. One of my favorite episodes.

BY YOUR COMMAND.

I must have missed the attack part.

Gias really needed to be strapped to the back of the Galacticas engine's then flank speed engaged .

All this has happened before and all this will happen again

In my head canon, there was at least one other battlestar to survive having been on a deep space exploration mission that kept it away from the Colonies for a great deal of time. In my mind it was a Deepstar variant of the battlestars designed specifically for taking a small fleet of ships out to find new resources and habitable worlds. They are completely unaware of the holocaust until they come across one of the ships lost while the ragtag fleet was passing the nebula in the season 3 episode "The Passage."

After a trip home to see the Colonies destroyed, they set out to find a new home while keeping an eye out for Galactica and her fleet and avoiding the Cylons at all costs. They find a new home that rivals Kobal and the Colonies and continue to develop scientifically and technologically and one day in the distant future, come across a pale blue dot.

It's just one of the ideas I have for the Galactica universe.

BSG ❤

BSG-75  Forever !  ✌️😉  remake original series now .

the time has come .. so say we all

So say we all

Choosing the tanks reminds me of a Richard Feynman story. He was brought in to check some blueprints because well, he was a genius. Didn't matter this wasn't his field.

He looks them over, points to something and says "what happens if this valve gets stuck?"

He was trying to hide the fact that he didn't understand the blueprints and was guessing that symbol meant valve.

The engineers told him that it wasn't a problem , the. Started checking closer and then walked out of the room to solve the problem of the fact that if that valve got stuck they were in big trouble.
