let me tell you: this is the second starstruck odyssey video i've ever seen. (the first one was operation slippery puppet.) i am proud to tell you i STILL have no idea what the objective of this campaign was, or any of the overarching plot, but i do know one thing now: holy 𝓼𝓱𝓲𝓽 it's funny.

Heh, the picture of Zvoon popping up, just an orb with lightning in it, and [She/Her] after it, immediately like "oh, gender"

Riva's first question being "how many people is she marrying?" is one of my favorites

murph's face as he describes his "experiences with pleasure putty" is like he is actively regretting every word that comes out of his mouth as they do

Margaret is the wallet and the brain cell of the group and I love that for her

the WAY margaret, sydney and barry JUMPED IN to help riva SELL pleasure putty is killing me

The funniest part is ally probably knowing this is a scam and still supporting them

i love how wholesome and full of belief in others riva is, it’s so different and so much more endearing than the usual blind optimism people will choose their characters to have (something i hate cuz it’s just an excuse to make your character act like a dumbass child). it’s mostly from naivety, but not from lack of information or a disregard for social rules, but from wanting to take every belief a person has and believe in it as well, and then go on to encourage them wholeheartedly.

and i realized it’s extra wonderful to me because with their psychic abilities, they knows everyone’s true thoughts and intentions, but i think they don’t realize the total subjectivity of what can be considered “truth” to different people. riva hasn’t met that many non-aquatunisians, and of those they have, they haven’t really met enough people to notice their extremely notable differences in perception. or, since they are just so trusting and positive, it doesn’t even occur to them that they may want to critically compare different minds and experiences - because in their home world everyone shares a common experience through that psychic link, and therefore subjectivity is a foreign concept to them. it just makes sense: why would you think of subjectivity when you’ve never been explicitly taught about it’s existence?

overall it’s just super fascinating and super great character work and worldbuilding. but also imo riva’s just SO cute!! i can’t help but smile when they’re talking. i love siobhan’s accent she gives them, i love their mannerisms, i love how joyous they are to just be a part of the crew and participate…..ugh i just love them.

i guess i’m guillermo del toro because i love this fish person.

Riva with the pleasure putty scheme is so funny

What I love about this season is that they have used all the things that usually mean something negative (The ball is rolling up, the dominos are falling, the Wurst) and turning it on its head to be a positive. So really I'm saying Gunnie is my favorite character and Lou is my favorite player.

i'm rewatching these bc the season ended 😭 and the sheer amount of NPCs that Brennan hit on Zac with this season is astounding

Zvoon is the most space Jewish name I've ever heard. Like if space Yiddish was a language, Zvoon would be a word in that language.

Honestly the way they all bounce off each other during the bit at 6:15 is something I crave from a friend group I have one day. This and the “I disguise myself as him” when they all immediately jump on the bandwagon are such great moments

I can't wait for the casino bit. I have never laughed so hard. The ball rolled so far up and then came crashing down.

"Girlboss, Gatekeep, Get Money From Selling Pleasure Putty"
-Rive, always

Zvoon gender envy

Did they ever confirm what concept she was marrying? Brennan started to mention it in the following adventuring party but they quickly got off track

"Cutting now to three hours of tweets we found"
YEP that checks out for how 'news' really will end up. What an accurate dystopia.

ally: it’s 5:00 am
brennan: it is 11:55

How threatening is it to have a crackling booming lightning orb approach you and demand HOW DID YOU COME HARD
