Now THIS is the blonde youtuber i wanted to see fight Mike Tyson

"How does a game from 1987 have infinites?"
- Maximilian DOOD, November 2024

Watching this as a boxer, I'm yelling at my phone every time Max steps early and is greeted by a heavy strike from his opponent.
Watching this as a gamer, I can't believe Max never played this before.  I had Sega and I still played Punch Out!

This game is just so amazing. The fact that it holds up to this day and is extremely entertaining to watch is a testament to its quality. I feel the series is so often overlooked, so I love seeing it.

Let it be known that Max was a legend on stream yesterday analyzing so much about this game with his community, and his non stop effort over 6 hours to BEAT Mike Tyson.

I laughed so fucking hard when he got hit by Honda's special.

>You can just do infinites in this game?!
>Gets pummeled.

Yup, that’s Punch-Out alright.

Max: "I don't play games outside my wheelhouse"
Also Max: plays Punch-Out NES seemingly on a whim

There's nothing quite like Max right after beating Von Kaiser to understand that when the opponent ducks for an uppercut they are vulnerable to a body blow, and he never actually proceeds to do it in his future fights (Particularly Great Tiger)

Edit: Holy shit he has the same exact epiphany all over again lmao

He came! He saw! He kicked his A$$! ❤️

This is better than watching Tyson vs. Paul on Netflix.

Man, the music kicking in as you land the last punch sending your opponent down, as the crowd cheers still gives me goosebumps like it did as a kid. This game is so good.

Finally, Max is playing a REAL fighting game on this channel!

In my 35 years alive, I've heard about crowd members being visual queues, and this is my first time actually seeing how accurate a tell they can be, even if it's just a single face in the crowd. Insane. This game really has held up spectacularly.

He is so lucky this game had passcodes to remember your progress. In those days if you lose, it's game over have a nice day.

Goddamn this man works fast.

Two 8+ hour streams, and a 5+ hour video less than 12 hours after that.

And I love how the first 3 fights teach you the ropes.

Glass Joe teaches the basics; punching, blocking, Star Punches,  etc.

Von Kaiser teaches that some  fighters will telegraph certain moves.

Honda teaches that some fighters have special moves.

And then, the rest of the world teaches you 'NAH.'

6:05 "And most of it's in the eyebrows!" 😅😅😅

Lmao that thumbnail 😂

Can't wait for Max to try Super Punch-Out and Punch-Out for Wii

2:51:30 for the endurance test against Sandman

So if Max had NOT asked for advice on Bull, chat would have been tripping over themselves to spoil every detail, but when he does ask for it, "that's no fun, you gotta learn yourself".  Could y'all at least be consistent backseaters if you're going to?  😆
