Luxury goods dont feature in my life and I was judgemental and astounded by the amounts of money for these luxury symbols. I judged you for being (what I thought)shallow. Then this podcast came up on my feed and I had to tell you how much impact your honesty and truth recounting such a difficult life has had on me. I am ashamed of my quick to judge attitude and will never judge a book by its cover again. All the best to you and yours and the many children who find themselves in such difficult and traumatic situations.

I would hope that you could see this. Your Mum is extraordinary. Kind, gentle, generous and understanding. She reminds me very much of my mother in law. (She even looks and sounds like her) She and my father in law welcomed young, unmarried, pregnant girls into their home. They had seven children and the girls would help with the children. In addition my in-laws paid for them to go to school and get their degrees so they could be licensed practical nurses. After they gave birth the babies were put up for adoption and the moms retuned home. They did this for many, many years and still heard from the girls years later. They touched many lives, the same as your Mum.

Aww, Emily hit the jackpot with her foster mum. Her foster mum and dad were saints. Such caring, loving people. Even the foster mum's own children were loving and accepting. For all Emily had been through, she turned out a well ajusted human being that eventually found her feet, thanks to her foster mum and dad. Thank you for sharing your story.😊💖👍
