Rescued after over 55 years in the woods. This rare two-stroke Saab Station Wagon was found in Jokkmokk, Northern Sweden, and brought back to life again. The model is a 1961 Saab 95.

WOW - such a rare car - the Saloons are rare enough, but an estate - WOW. My first car in 1972 was a 1963 Bullnose 2 stroke - LOVED it. Thank you for saving this car. PLEASE let us see the resto 🙂

I like to imagine these woods-bound car breathing a sigh of relief when someone comes along to rescue them. This one is no exception.

I have one of those in the woods in Alaska. Bought it about 1982. Had a bad crank. Couldn’t afford a new one. Still sitting out in the woods near my mom’s old house to this day…

Well done getting it running and moving again! My Dad worked for the only SAAB dealer in the state of Georgia during the mid-1970's. He had a 95 wagon that was blue that he exchanged the 3 cylinder 2-stroke engine with the Ford Taunus V4 SAAB was offering at the time in the new cars. Definitely have a soft spot for these wagons after that.

Poor old car must have long since resigned itself to mouldering away for the rest of time. Instead,a new lease of life beckons! Wonderful! 😊
