It’s always a red flag when all the regular sounds you hear at night suddenly stop.

These days I find myself keep checking this channel for new videos and if not I just re-listen the older stories, these stories are THAT good

"Grief settles in places you stop visiting." Damn.

That part with the staircase genuinely creeped me out. The fact that you could hear a whole family talking at the top, then something invisible actually started coming down the stairs… nope. And that ending with “his” voice outside the cabin was just brutal. 😳

The scariest part wasn’t hearing his father’s voice—it was realizing the thing knew memories no one else should have known. Did anyone else feel the same?
😱😱

Shout-out of appreciation that this wasn't just wendigo / skinwalker stuff, I listen to a lot of channels like this and the total lack of creativity in 95% of scary nature stories is frustrating. So, thanks for being good!

Thank you Stephen and the whole Lighthouse crew!

These Appalachian stories are so good. The silence is so eerie also. And the backflip guy is actually pretty terrifying

I was born in SE Ohio, Appalachian Plateau, and I have an eerie memory from there. When I was about four, my bed was up against one of the two walls with a window. I was laying in bed one night, the old roller style  of blinds from the 80's all the way up, and I heard something outside. It was a soft noise, I don't  even remember what it sounded like, maybe some sort of shifting. Not sure. But I looked up from my pillow, and in the corner, I saw a pair of slanted, yellow eyes. I was too terrified to move, and after about five minutes of staring into those unblinking eyes, I just closed my eyes, praying the Lord's prayer and Hail Mary I learned in Sunday school a few months prior. After a few minutes, I very slightly opened my eyes, and the eyes were gone.

The next morning, I told my mom, and she said it was an owl, and don't worry about it. But it wasn't perched on the gutter. It was hovering underneath it, and there was kind of this black void around the eyes, that our porch light couldn't light up. It wasn't supported by anything, it was just hovering there.

I think this might contribute to why I ALWAYS have to have blinds/curtains closed when it's dark out, and I hate looking out windows at night. I haven't  thought about looking into what it might have been, until now. But maybe I subconsciously don't want to know. Appalachia be weird, y'all.

I LOVE ME SOME LIGHTHOUSE HORROR STORIES

Lighthouse, long time fan, I reposted too. Can you PLEASE do a follow up to “ I think my Grandfather might be a serial killer” - best story I’ve ever heard! The way you did voice back them were the best! Especially the grand father. I don’t mind the voices now, but in my personal opinion, your old style was the best and really gave the stories life

You have convinced me to stay off that trail 😂.

Perfect, I am in Kawai right now, getting ready for hurricane Lala to pass through. They’re gonna watch some crazy weather and listen to an awesome story at the same time. Thank you guys! Pray for the big island they are going to be hit hard.

Yesss!! Lighthouse Horror has posted another park ranger/appalachian trail type story!!

I can understand people going missing in the woods and remains not being found . Animal predation , decomposition and leaves covering the body would make it difficult to find someone after a few months . What I don't understand is why all the gear isn't found . Awesome story tonight Stephen and crew !! :_horrorwut::_horrorwut::_blueshirt::_flyingbat::_skelldance::_skelldance:

The Staircase story is the one that is holding my curiosity.
I find I'm terribly curious about those he was hearing from up there.

I know the backflipping man is supposed to be scary but i couldn't help laughing picturing it 😂

I really enjoyed this story. It combined forest rangers tales from other stories. I’m glad he never opened the door cuz in the previous story the ranger implied lhe left with that thing.

It's been a long while since I've been able to muster a stolen moment; but here I am tonight, and your narration never disappoints. I've missed these stories so much! ❤

15:45 He bent over backwards and thought to himself " But that backflip tho "
