Great point about how wearing a cross is considered by the mass media as “divisive”, because it shows religion, but what about Muslims who wear hijabs, etc, isn’t that showing their religion snd causing divisiveness?  

Nope.  

Only if it’s anything to do with Christianity.

When I was in middle age.. I was rearing my beloved family with my dear wife Jean RIP… my last words at night were to my Angel to awaken me in time for Holy Mass before going to work … I never set the alarm.. but I woke each day at the required time no matter what time Mass was . Now that I’m old I am thankful for these times when I was/am truly blessed - 🙏

Im very new to Christianity, in fact I don’t know much about it, except that I believe in Jesus and the Catholic Church and believe in the teachings.

I got baptized this Easter, but I was watching and learning on YouTube for at least 5 years prior, and of course in OCIA.

But recently maybe 2 months ago, Fulton Sheen popped up on my YouTube feed, I heard his voice and I was hooked.  

So the fact that you are doing a talk on him is amazing.  Thank you.

I have so much to learn, so little time.

He had a God given gift of story telling, snd that absolutely helped in his preaching.  Very few people in general have such a gift, a voice, a presence, the fact that God chose him to spread His Word, rightly so.

This deserves a standing ovation.

Back then people had the Catholic faith, or the humility to listen. And, if I remember my dad’s words correctly, his show’s ratings also exceeded those of Milton Berle’s comedy hour. In response, Berle quipped ‘Look who his co-pilot is.’

I was a little girl and my dad controlled the tv, but he would watch bishop sheen! We were Protestant but I was so young I had never heard either term but I loved to listen to bishop sheen! ❤❤❤

In Rochester @ Sacred Heart Cathedral we are having a special mass in reception of a Sheen relic tuesday. evening. It's amazing that our humble diocese has such a great blessing. He is truly watching over us to this day. I cannot imagine being alive on the day it was announced he was our new pastor. ❤ Bishop Matano is a very devout and holy Bishop and his intentions I can promise you were pure. Fyi
