The comment section said I should check it out, and they were absolutely right. This was a beautiful song mixed with David's incredible guitar work (and the whole band if we're being honest) and it filled me with a feeling of wishing I could be there to experience it live.

The first part with the guitar is how I imagine the sound was when the universe was born

I am 69 and this was the music I was surrounded by growing up (plus a lot of other classic bands/artists) and can say that the late 60s/70s was the best time for music ever!

Was lucky enough to be there, the entire concert is amazing, over 2 1/2 hours of brilliance.

Looking forward to you delving more into this concert as I was there that night. You were spot on by saying every song is an experience

I was a young teen that was a beautiful amphitheater very close to where I lived. I had someone who would let me in it every single concert for free. She told me this concert was coming with Pink Floyd. I had no idea who they were. Normally, I would be trying to pick up girls. It was the dark side of the moon Tor after four chords I just sat down on the grass and didn’t move an inch. Rather than take my ride home I walked home just to try to process what I just heard and saw. From that day on, and I’m close to 70 now I listening nipping Pink Floyd every single day. There’s no one like them.

Indeed, this concert left my friends and I drooling zombies for days afterward :)

My friend and I got in and watched the soundcheck at the Astrodome. David tuned up with some of this intro. We were the only people seated during the soundcheck, no one else in the dome who was not working. We were dead center floor about ten rows back. Had a few words with David when he was done. Then watched the concert. It was a religious experience, thanks David

At 62 the 2 bands i regret not seeing live was Zeppelin and Floyd If i got to pick one i could have seen i think it would be Floyd as a guitarist Gilmour is the best example of how you dont have to shred to be one of the greats

Stick with PULSE concert and follow the endless river of creativity, sound perfection of each music/experience! Do not miss Keep Talking, Shine You Crazy Diamond and Run Like Hell

I am so pleased I was asked by a work colleague if I wanted to see Pink Floyd on this tour. It is without question the best concert I have ever been to. It's amazing to watch it on screen but in truth it doesn't do the experience of seeiing it live justice. For large parts of this concert I sat in my seat mesmerised by what I was hearing and seeing. It's an experience I will never forget.

They opened the PULSE concert with a condensed version of Shine On You Crazy Diamond which will show you a whole other side of Floyd. Still very thematic and mood-building but super clean and it really shows the interplay between Gilmour and Wright on keys, and the dynamic chemistry with Nick Mason on drums. The sax solos by Dick Parry are icing on the cake.

Saw them live at Paris in the July and Earls court in the October of 94...AMAZING!

Seeing Sorrow live in 1994 is the official moment my full time tinnitus began. Like a permanent scar Gilmour gave me.

This is the best Pink Floyd song, heck the best song of all songs, ever...and I have been listening to them since Dark Side was first released.

He made that guitar cry and moan in sorrow

Glad you found Floyd! As a Floydhead since I was 13 and now I'm 67, Sorrow is my favorite live Floyd song! I saw em live in 73, 3 times in 87 and 5 times in 94 for the Division Bell/Pulse show as well as David's, Roger's and Nick's, solo shows and it's still my favorite! There are lots of tribute bands but the best are Aussie Floyd and the former mates, Brit Floyd! Check out their tour dates to see if they are coming to your town. Brit is on tour right now and Aussie's coming up. Both are great! Check em both out on youtube. Since we can't get a real Floyd show, these bands are the next best thing! 🌈🤘
