House of leaves is the first meme status book I can remember. Have heard it’s a bit of a chore to get through. Also, from my understanding, Nordic counties are mostly descendants of Germanic tribes except for Finland. With the native populations mostly still existing closer to the arctic circle, like the Sami people.
