I am so overwhelmed (in a good way) by the amount of comments on this video. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the support, prayers, and kindness you’ve shown. I truly appreciate it 🫶🏼🥹

Girl don’t listen to these ppl telling you to take the trip. You planned the trip based on your financial situation at the time. Now it has changed and you need to adjust.

I got laid off from work December 2nd and now I found another job that is paying me more for the same work sometimes it’s a blessing in disguise 🙏🏼

The same companies ask for a 2 week notice when you quit but can just fire you suddenly in a day??? They didn’t give you time at all to maybe find another job and to process the change. I hate them, I’m so sorry this happened.

The sweet Disney voice as she delivers this news is actually diabolical tbh.

I have been in IT for 34 years. Been laid off several times, two of those times were for 7 1/2 month stretches. Don't delay in filing for unemployment. It's insurance you paid for. File a claim. You have the benefit of being young.  I subscribed and wish you all the best. Keep your chin up.

getting laid off is often a blessing in disguise. After you get over the shock and anger that is.

One of the most scariest calls to get work related. I wouldn't want this on anyone.

That laugh after “See you on LinkedIn” … would make me want to throw my monitor across the room lol

I would cancel the trip. New Zealand will always be there. Right now you're in an emergency and you need as much cash reserve as possible to keep yourself afloat. I'm so sorry this happened to you!!! But I wanna make sure you & your assets are protected during this hard time ❤❤❤

I had a friend that worked for the same company for 26 years. She worked in IT doing procurement integrations. She got laid off with no notice....her last day was the day they told her. She ended up getting another job that pays more...she's still working from home. She got a full severance package. Her old boss ended up calling her back because stuff hasn't been done since she left and the company was lossing money because they weren't get paid by some of their biggest customers. Nobody else knew how to do her job. Not sure what happened with her old employer...but she is happy at her new job. I'm praying for you. God has something bigger and better in store for you. I have subscribed to your channel so that I can see your future praise report! 🙏🙏🙏

I just got laid off after working for my company for 13 years. I am the sole worker in my house for 3 disabled people. It's terrifying. Prayers for you that you will find another great job!

I got laid off just a few hours ago and it was devastating. When you cried, I lost it. I hope you're a lot better now.

I got let go from my job in 2023 and I’m a Cybersecurity Analyst. Took me two months to get another job. Even though you got laid off, your skill set still makes you very marketable young lady. Keep your head up and keep grinding. Things will work themselves out…💯👍🏾

I was laid off today as well — 24% of my Org lost their jobs, 1750 people in total from my company. They say that misery loves company— so we are in this together.  Good vibes to us!! We will get through this!!

You handled yourself so gracefully and maturely during that call.

"Number one, take care of yourself today! 🧚🏼‍♀️" URRRRFGGHHGGHHHHH

I hate how companies handle these "sudden" lay offs with no regard to you as an individual as to giving you time to process this sudden and huge loss. I'm sorry this happened to you 😢

Sis! I don’t know you. I’ve never seen your channel and out of the blue YouTube recommended you to me. I’m sending you the biggest hug and a bunch of prayers!!! God has closed this door to prepare you for the next adventure. Cancel your trip, cut down on your expenses, update your resume and hit the ground running! But of course take this week to just be sis ❤

Lost my job a while back.
While I was still working, I pumped money into my mortgage. Got it paid off. Mortgage being my biggest expense, being laid off didn't send me into a panic.
