Norton is the perfect everyday guy without any annoying quirks yet also having amazing range. When I see him involved in a project my interest jumps and the movie is immediately watchable.

To be fair, he clearly knows what he’s doing. American History X was a great film largely due to his influence on the final product.

American History X has aged like the finest of fine wines.

I am Jack's admiration

Norton’s version of the Incredible Hulk was honestly my favorite. Nothing against Mark, but I loved Edward’s version.

no matter if he is a control freak or not,he is a pure artist, imo in the level of chris bale and leo di caprio. His acting is too good

Ed is the best HULK.

He is one great actor and whenever ive seen him he is a scene stealer

he was also fantastic in death to smoochy. super underrated comedy film that unfortunately got raked through the coals by snobby critics.

I had no idea that Primal Fear was Norton's first role. He really hit the ground running. In just the first 5 years of his acting career, he starred in several major movies including Primal Fear, Rounders, American History X, Fight Club, and the Score. Within the next few years, he would add such credits as Red Dragon, 25th Hour, The Italian Job remake, The Illusionist, and more.

I'm no expert on films or actors, but I do know that its exceptionally rare for an actor to star in so many great roles so early in their career. He always seemed like such a natural, I guess I just assumed his career started a little earlier.

At the beginning of his career, he was like a young man who acted like he came from the old school. He took the craft seriously,  research the hell out of every role  andreally wanted to put on the best performances.

I never considered acting such a rare skill that they couldn't even find one young actor who could play Aaron, a relatively simple two-sided character. Leo being the only other actor who could do it really puts a couple things into perspective

I love 25th. Hour.Great acting, underrated film, I believe. The scene in the bathroom bar, with his Dad, is awesome! Love this movie!  Thanks

I meeeean , idk how to feel about him tbh , like he definitely kinda did them directors wrong in some way even tho the films may have turned out better. But like it was also worth it that way!

Anyhooooooooooo , phenomenal actor!!!

seen this one already before it was deleted :3

Love his acting. A rather little-known film featuring him - Painted veil, watch it, it's good.

The Derek Vinyard character in American History X is as good as acting transformations get.

"The Score" was not even mentioned?... I am Jack's amazement.

Not mentioning Death to Smoochie is criminal  😂

Norton is so good that I didn't know that it was him acting as king Baldwin IV behind the mask until recenly and it was such an amazing charcter. Something that only actors like Day-Lewis and maybe some other few could do.

He's a person who knows, or at least feels, his own strengths. If you hire someone to lead a role (theatrical or ANY role) you want their strengths to fill the director/boss initial vision.
he will produce what's needed by bending the world to how it should be to achieve that vision successfully. I don't see any other answer than that is the greatest achievement. A vision was presented to him, his strengths were hired. A vision change is not HIS problem.
