No worries about not catching all the bars, Dave...

I mean, Communist jokes aren't funny unless everyone gets them, right?

"Spit hot borsch when I'm crushing these beats" Borsch is made by crushing beets...

Probably one of the better bars that you need some knowledge on is the “Pride of Lenin took Trotsky out of the picture” line. Basically Trotsky was Stalin’s main rival in the party—could never agree on anything after Lenin kicked the bucket, so Stalin gave himself all the power he needed, kicked Trotsky out of Russia (later assassinating him in Mexico City) then slowly began editing photos (yeah they could do that in the 30s and 40s) to remove people who were more aligned with Trotsky

The red guy was Lenin. Stalin said “pride of Lenin took Trotsky out of the picture”. Stalin was essentially Lenin’s protege and Leon Trotsky was the main political rival of Stalin after Lenin died. After Stalin rose to power, he stripped Trotsky of his political power and exiled him from the Soviet Union. However, Stalin ended up perverting his mentor’s beliefs, hence why Lenin starts with “I have no pride for you who ruined everything my revolution was doing to stop the bourgeoisie!” The guy after him with the birth marks was Gorbachev, and obviously after that was Putin.

The reason the Czar's son Alexei (who had hemophilia) improved when Rasputin told the Czar and Czarina to stop the doctors' treatments was because the doctors were giving him aspirin. They didn't know then that aspirin is an anticoagulant and made Alexei's bleeding worse. The Czarina was convinced Rasputin saved Alexei and damn near worshipped him after that, to the point that there were rumors they were sleeping together.

"If your name ends with 'in', time to get out" is still one of my favorite bars in ERB.

Everyone misses Putin’s “President in my Prime” bar. After the fall of the USSR Russia’s leader was called the Prime Minister, which Vladimir Putin became. But you can only serve a set amount of terms as Prime Minister, so one of his last acts as Prime Minister was to create the position of President XD

It was Tsar Nicholas'v son Alexi he was born with hemophilia and Rasputin was able to stop his bleeding.

0:50 Rasputin
4:38 Stalin
6:18 Lenin
7:47 Gorbachov
8:44 Putin

Tore down that wall like the Kool-Aid man is such an under appreciated bar since it was Gorbachov that helped to facilitate the tearing down of the Berlin Wall.

Aight, so, Rasputin is an interesting one. Probably gonna miss some stuff, but oh well. Rasputin was very much known as a womanizer, even at times claiming that orgies helped to cleanse the sin from the body. This of course led to him holding massive orgies in his basement while his wife and children were upstairs. His wife however is noted to have said, when questioned on her feelings about the orgies, that "There's more than enough of him to go around". This was in reference to the reported size of Rasputin's package, which in and of itself gave him fame. As for when you mentioned aspirin, that is actually the opposite of what he did. The son of the Tsar at the time had a condition to where his blood wouldn't clot when he was cut, so he could potentially bleed out from something as small as a paper cut. Rasputin was called upon by the Tsar himself after hearing of Rasputin's holy healing to help his son, and it was a good thing he did. The doctors themselvves were about to give the Tsar's son aspirin, which is a blood thinner, which would have hastened his death. Instead, Rasputin had all the doctors leave the room and led the Tsar's son in prayer, which calmed his nerves and slowed his heartbeat, allowing the blood to properly clot. Then there was the thing with the Tsar's wife. There were many rumors that Rasputin had slept with the Tsar's wife, since he was known for sleeping with married women, but nome of those rumors were ever substantiated, especially since the Tsar's wife called Rasputin "disgusting" and "undesirable" on more than one occasion.

when your such a badass that just you existing makes people know who you are. "Thats Vladimir!"

6:20  Vladmir Lenin, the guy mostly known for causing the Russian Revolution of 1917.

Entries 3 and 4 were Vladimir Lenin and Mikhail Gorbachev

"That looks like PewdiePie" that's because it is him

Nom de guerre (pronounced gare) means “War Name” in French, just like nom de plume means “pen name.”

Gorbachev easily has the best flow in the whole rap, came in spitting about everything he did in his leadership. Glastnost literally translates to “Openness” and it was his attempts to do what China did with the US and open the doors to some capitalism and show that Soviet Russia would play ball with the West to reduce a possible world war scenario. Namely, he did so by allowing fast food, namely McDonald’s to open restaurants, then basically had a meeting with Ronald Reagan, who at the time had the strongest anti-Soviet stance since the 1950s (look up the speech where he demands the Berlin Wall to come down) but once they had that meeting they became best friends and opened the doors to one another and Reagan was suddenly cool with what he saw Gorbachev doing. Baryshnikov was a ballet dancer who stirred a ton of controversy for being provocative and having some anti-communist remarks, but Gorby let him perform. And real power is a remark about his policy of “Realpolitik” I can’t explain that one in this whole comment lol so best to Google that one here.

Appreciate you actually looking stuff up, unlike many other reactors who just bob their head to the beat =D

I liked Gorbachev in this battle...

"if your name ends with 'in', time to get out." The other 4 men in this battle all have last names that end with 'in'. I thought that was a really cool line.

If you're ever confused about characters in ERB videos, they usually list them in the description along with who played them. I wouldn't check on it until after the video because it could lead to spoilers beforehand. Great reaction...looking forward to the next one!!!
