Love this song! John’s bass in this gave them the idea to do the video on a train. The female in this is Roger Taylor’s (drummer) girlfriend and mother to his 3 youngest children, Debbie Leng. Brian (guitarist) was very depressed at this time. He was going through a contentious and very public divorce and getting vilified in the press and the band found out about Freddie’s health issues. Freddie’s doctors didn’t expect him to be alive to finish this album. Freddie was worried about him and when he sings, your smile speaks books to me, it puts a smile on Brian’s face. Getting outside for a few days doing this video helped Brian. The beginning slow part of this song was part of a song Freddie had written and loved it and wanted to include it on this Roger Taylor penned song. The Miracle Express was moving at a maximum of 30 mph at times on the Nene Valley Railway. They all had insurance policies for 2 million pounds taken out before doing this video. They had the train painted for this video.

This one of my most favorite late Queen songs...yes they were really on the train and it wasn't going super slow... check out the making of Breakthru. Their insurance company was NOT happy about them filming on a moving train with no harnesses or other safety equipment... BTW, have you ever seen John Deacon look SO happy?

Please check out “Innuendo”. The song and the video are amazing.

It was going 40 miles an hour according to Brian

Please listen to Peter Murphy, "Hit Song". Amazing song, amazing artist

But could anyone else cavort on a moving train like Freddie?????

"modern times rock and roll" live March 1974 at rainbow or"Stone Cold crazy" live  74' at same place., Metallica won a Grammy for their cover of this song in 1991...guitar solo, drums , Bass, Freddie, magnificent! heavy or trash metal both songs 😎
