Shakespearean-level acting talent, on a community theatre budget set.

Did not expect Dagoth Ur to show up in a Dr Who episode.

"I should have been a god!" "Oh, don't worry.  In a bunch of regenerations you'll turn into a CGI skeleton God I destroy with a maguffin."

“I should have been a God!”
- Whoever played Omega was a stellar actor bc that delivery was incredible.

The fact this is some of the best acting in the show and its in front of a cardboard wall with green paint haphazardly brushed onto it. I hope they do a Big Finish boxset explaining where the floating boom mic comes from.

Omega: "I should have been a god!"
RTD: "There's an idea!"

Who on Earth over at the current Doctor Who team saw this and thought, "Ah yes. Bone monster."

Ok, that's some top tier acting. Can't see his face whatsoever, and still utterly captivating.

You could almost feel bad for this man, he advanced his people beyond anything they could imagine...only to be abandoned in the end

This is the Omega RTD failed to recreate.

An imperial Nerevarine visits Dagoth Ur (the person) in his home at Dagoth Ur (the mountain)

"What a fool you are. I'm a Hero! How can you kill a Hero? What a grand and intoxicating innocence!"
    - Dagomega Ur

I wont forgive RTD fow wasting him and Rani, although i havent seen pre 2005 era episodes i can still tell a lot of classic villains got wasted

"Dude, how long have you been wearing that mask for?"
'What mask?  This is what antimatter gravity does to your face after 3,000 years".
"Oh.  Forget I asked".

I really hope the series 15 finale does Omega justice. Despite how much the actor is chewing the scenery, a scene like this shows that he is a tragic & interesting character.

Edit: it was so, so much worse than I expected. Everyone owes cgi Sutekh from last year an apology.

Omega's performance is hypnotic.

A tragic figure of timelord history, who gave them the power to travel through time and space. And was in return doomed to being stranded inside a black hole thanks to Rassilon’s machinations.

I want to see an updated version of his armour. No horrid CGI, just a stylish update of his suit and a commanding vocal performance.
