The fact RDJ is still that good an actor after the drugs is pretty cool. Man basically started his career and adult life under the thumb of addiction (that's putting it extremely mildly, as an addict myself, it's more like a woodchipper that lives inside your mind) and became one of the biggest Hollywood stars of the modern era. I'll never forget the Burger King thing personally.
And before someone says some shit, the experience was that he at a Burger King burger and he was a fan since he was young, and the burger tasted like crap and he realized just how broken his senses were from the drugs so he got clean. Instead of "he ate something so gross he quit drugs", it was "he ate something he knew he loved and it tasted gross so he quit drugs"

Honestly, I don't know how Chris Evans pulls it off other than just being a great actor cause if you've seen his previous work before Marvel and you've seen him in interviews and just being himself, it's pretty clear Chris is a funny goober of a man and it's so genuinely him that I think something like Johnny Storm was one of his best roles because he really works that "superhero" aesthetic while also understanding the importance and character of the guy who says "wow, that was super lame, let me do it" like him in Scott Pilgrim. He has enough range to be Captain friggin America and then follow it up with being a sailor-mouthed Johnny in Deadpool 3, and frankly, the latter felt more like Chris to me. Cap was a wildly significant role he played, but I don't think the swole-to-the-jaw, swear-policing, decades-old Captain America is necessarily what he's really like. Chris Evans is just a dude given some pretty epic roles over the years, but I wanna know about Chris Evans the person rather than the actor cause he seems like a really cool dude. I mean, you'd HAVE to have a really cool (pun intended) to play Johnny Storm back then, and he was perfect.
