Elle- a true feminist that didn’t put down feminine things to be ‘not like other girls’

She’s such an inspiration. Proving that just because your pretty and feminine doesn’t mean you’re mean and stupid. Which is the way many movies at the time perceived femininity

one of the favorite things about this movie is that they didn’t make elle’s group of friends toxic. they truly want the best for her and that’s such a nice change from other feminine movies

I love that when Warner says I need a Jackie not a Marilyn, Elle doesn’t think of Marilyn as the dumb blonde stereotype, but only interprets his words as in looks, and that showed us how incredibly intelligent she was.

That first clip is easily one of the very best scenes considering it’s in the beginning and you basically get to see that there’s more to Elle than her body or her fashion. She was NOT about to be taken advantage of and let people consider her a dumb blonde, love this movie so much!

“I don’t use that word”

QUEEN SHIT

This movie was so ahead of its time. In the 2000s, female characters could either be hyper feminine or smart - never both.

Elle woods gives me confidence that you don’t wanna be define by the society.

The fact that none of her court room lines are in here is crazy!
"because isn't isn't it first cardinal rule of perm maintenance that you're forbidden to wet your hair for the first 24 hours at the risk of deactivating the ammonium thioglycolate?!"

No gaslight, no gatekeep…but better: ⭐️GIRLBOSS⭐️

Elle Woods is a true inspiration for me. She studied hard and she didn't change her image for others. She stayed true to herself.

What an absolute queen

Ah yes the 2000s blonde ladies, Elle Woods, Sharpay Evans and Regina George. How good time was back then 😭😭

"What, like its hard? "

"Elle Woods being iconic"
proceeds to play the whole movie

I cannot even describe how much I loved Elle Woods as a little girl

The part where she defended that guy from those horrible girls makes me so insanely happy

Elle Woods is the friend we need.

elle was ALWAYS a genius
1. she was amazing in school her whole life
2. she got a 179/180 on the LSAT
3. she used her combined law school and fashion school intelligence to win the case
4. HER COMBACKS 😍😍😍

Kind or mean, you can't deny the "dumb" superficial girls of the 2000s (Sharpay, Regina, Elle, Emily in DWP) knew what they wanted.

What I love about Elle's character arc is that, when she comes into her own as a lawyer, she does it as herself; wearing pink, in high heels and all. That's who she is, and that's how she can be the best lawyer she can be.
