Okay, when I saw the Philadelphia postcard, my heart fluttered! I work on 8th and Chestnut. It looks a little different now but a lot of the older buildings are still standing. Philly is full of history.

You're correct, these look like they're from the 1910s or so. There's different ways to tell, like how much postage is, if it says "post card" vs private mailing card, if there's a split on the back of the card for address AND message, and the types of ink! I collect vintage postcards from Philly and a couple areas around there. This is so cool!

I love your videos of secondhand and vintage things the most, it soothes my weary soul to see old things being brought back to life through the attention they are given. Such a lovely video, thank you.

These are so cool! I think that Xmas one said "Atlantic City NJ"

This was a great video! I really enjoyed it. The thunderstorm made it even better. Can't wait for part 2. Thank you Mary 💜

These postcards are so cool! I'm from Pennsylvania and really enjoyed the ones from here. Schuylkill Co. Is North of me and is pronounced 'skoo-kl'. The other county after the town 'Lykens' on that same card is 'Dauphin'. That's the county I live in. What a sweet way to communicate. Sure has changed a bit since then. 😊😊😊

I’m 2 years late, but have to say, I turned this on to fall asleep, then was too interested in what the postcards said to sleep! Also the thunder in the background made this video next level!

Dear Mary: This was amazing! Thank you for such a great video and travel in time. It is fascinating how cheap it was to mail a postcard back then and how casual people could be on a brief message. Loved this!

That PA Christmas card is from Minersville, PA in Schuylkill (pronounced Skoo-kl) County. Interesting fact - it’s close to the town that has America’s oldest brewery.

I adore these lovely papery sounds from the postcards.
My fave asmr is paper/ card sounds and this kind of quiet whispered easy paced chat with very little tapping.
Perfect!
Love your page flipping content too especially when it is slow paced whispered chat and page turning. Thanks.

When you said you were from Greensboro, it reminded me of my grandmother. She grew up in Guilford County and told me a lot of stories of her life in Greensboro before moving to Texas.
